Just so that everybody knows. I am writing this review when this restaurant is not in it's best shape. The meat experience was quite okay, with flavorful and juicy pork meat(minced). However the onion was not very finely chopped and was almost like meatballs with chunks of onion inside. I also have to include that the onion on the side of my dish was not very evenly chopped which didn't add any points to the look and taste of the dish. The waitress' weren't very pleased to see us and lacked enthusiasm. This further went on, when I miss-typed my pin code once. And the waitress looked at me like she was chewing a lemon. The fries were soggy and flabby. You could almost see your reflection of your face from how oily the fries were. I also had a crab salad which you could tell that the crab came out of a tube. The best part of it was the corn in the salad. However I saw when I went to the toilet that it was very well maintained and clean. I also want to add on that the decor in the place was very good. With interesting pictures. Wall intentionally chipped of to expose the brick, also the lighting was a nice light yellow which gave off a warm and cozy experience. My friend got served a gin and tonic which was more like tonic water with a sprinkle of gin. But the wine bottle had a neat little collar that prevented drip going down on the table. I also want to add on that the restaurant lacked a children's menu if you may. It had no generic plain food such as pasta with oil. But you have to understand that the business in the restaurant didn't exactly look booming so I must say that this business could do with some support. I just quickly want to add on that the table had a neat little button that you could press to get the attention of a waitress. Sadly it did not work well for us since it took the waitress a very long time. And when she did she looked very bothered. However my friend's child had pasta which was okay(but plain pasta with chicken isn't very difficult to make) I am sorry that this review is harsh given the assumed situation.
P.S. I rushed the pictures because I had the leave the...
Read moreNOTE: Sometime in 2020, the staff and food offerings have completely changed. So any older reviews (except of the interior) do not relate to the current restaurant. Now they offer a mix of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine (Georgian and Armenian). SUMMARY: Satisfactory food and service that matches the price level. FOOD: The meat was grilled well, while both the american-potatoes and the french-fries seemed to wait many minutes before served. Pity that during the summer they serve just the cabbage salad (no fresh vegetables). Side sauces didn't impress us much. The home bread was very good as well as the Georgian wine. The SERVICE was kind and quite prompt. PLACE: The tunnel-like interior is unique und quite nice. Unfortunately, the acoustics are bad. It's hard to understand your seatmates, while you can well hear a talk couple of tables over. Easy parking around...
Read moreThis is not our first time ordering from Čas na jidlo but it will be our last. We used to like shish here but this time both chicken shish and lamb shish were bad. Lamb was really chewy and undercooked, both had no taste of grill whatsoever. Fries were soft and tasteless. Lamadzo dough was sweet and tasted like a ready-made tortilla bread you get at Albert. The filling was tasteless (both regular one and the chilli, chilli had just garlic taste but no taste of meat). Meat pancakes were too salty, so you could only eat them with yoghurt. The only thing I was able to eat was the aubergine spread, yet it is hardly worth a 1100 we paid for our order. I would be ashamed to sell food of this...
