Restaurant Nicolas Perle — Restaurant in Gombe

Fairly good Chinese food in a nice traditional Chinese restaurant environment.

The tofu soup has a good consistency though slightly salty. The egg and tomato stir fry was perfect and a must try. Had the fried shrimp ball appetizers which were tasty.

Disappointing though was the roast duck. It appeared deep fried or fried, strange brown color rather than the expected bright red, and was dry and tasteless. No sauce to accompany the dried duck, though we asked for a sweet and sour sauce as an extra.

Overall, mostly good but the duck left the experience disappointing.

Would recommend giving it a try as the prices are reasonable and quality is generally good. Credit cards not...

I honestly have mixed feelings about this one... The food is really good but The rest doesn't follow, first time I ate their food was on a delivery and everything was well packed still hot and delicious. Being encouraged by this I decided to place an order myself two weeks later, only to be turned around by a rude delivery guy, end up not getting my order, and not even getting an apology message for all my trouble so I'm seriously half and...

We ordered 7 plates and receive after 45 munites only 2 plates ... and rest 1h30 after !!! and its was so disgusting... the most disgusting Chinese restaurant ever taste in my life ... the only good thing is that the Congolese staff (2guys) was kind ... Chinese staff don't even speak French or English or lingala .... and they really don't pay attention to you... next time we will go to Carpe...
