Another pizza place I visited in Denmark - still: It's hard to judge any pizza place since I make "my" perfect pizza at home. But I'd like to try.
A small hassle was it to find the place. It's located in Risskov, Aarhus. The easiest is to follow google and park the car at Meny and take the stairs. A small irritation is that the restaurant has no own parking lots - so 1 hour free parking on the Meny parking lot is all you got. Alternatively you drive past Menu, take the next to the right and follow the one way road, 1 level up and park your car beside the restaurant.
The place is very new! While we (2 grown ups, 4 kids [9, 13, 14 and 16 years]) went there, the restaurant had open in its 3rd week. Somehow you could sense that - the team seemed not yet fully organized and our waiter left the impression in us of being a bit nervous.
Regardless, we ordered some pizzas and beverages. After a short misunderstanding - we ordered San Pellegrino but got Pino Grigio ;) our food arrived and what to say? By far the best I have had in DK / Aarhus so far.
The crust was huge and fluffy, but somehow like bread inside. A small pinch of yeast in the nose, not much, but you could smell it. From the bread-alike dough I would guess tops 24h fermentation or even less. To be honest I expected huge air pockets at first while seeing those huge crusts. But important - the taste was nice!
We had two "queens", 1 with additional cotto, the other one with not spicy salami. 2 potato potato's, 1 "no name" and I took the "hot spot". Lovely sorts they created. The padron were a bit spicy and added good acidity to the pizza. A bit too much water/oil on top, but in general a great pizza! This read salsa was amazing, nduja maybe - oh, it's meat :D but awesome :)
So where does that leave us? By far the best pizza I had so far (Surdejs pizzaria and Pizza Propria are named as references) in Aarhus. I hope this place will manage to establish itself in Aarhus. The location is ok, but a bit far away from the "main area".
positive: delicious pizza
negative: no own parking lots a little nervous (caused by the young team) yeast is used (why not sourdough?) crust has no big airpockets and...
Read moreThe Pizza Margarita, Tiramisu and Spritz were great which is the most important part for the establishment like this. Also the restaurant does not have champignons or prosciutto cotto, so that's a bit disappointing for the place which serves Italian cousine. Almost all of the pizzas are not traditional, except of the Margarita, off course. The service was a bit slow, the waitress was not attentive enough. Missed my call several times. The interior is nice, classic Scandinavian, but nothing to do with Italy or the food which they provide. The views from the window are not great - cars and parking lot. Other than that why do you call pizzas by some "funny" names? Is it 2005 still? 😅 I thought that this has been out of the...

The pizza was completely burnt from the bottom!
I called the waitress and she said that she has to call the "boss" to discuss what to do and get !!
40 minutes later she never came back until I went to pay and leave!
To make the situation worse they decided to charge me 100 DKK for a pitcher of Tap water and the racist excuse is " we are Denmark".
The owner, Nadia seems to be a rude aggressive woman that invests in insulting and picking arguments on the reviews rather than fixing the absolute disasters in the so called...
