Kind of weird with a USA themed restaurant at a Danish landmark but we were hungry and thankful to have a sit-down option for lunch. We ordered burgers. One person in our party ordered a "chicken sandwich" without bread or dressing for gluten and lactose sensitivity and a soda without ice. Soda came - with ice but they eventually brought another so no big deal. Then came the "sandwhich" - with dressing so that had to go back. When we all had our meals, we realized that something was off with the meats. The burger patty had a weird texture and was definitely not all beef and the chicken was some kind of processed meat. The veggies and accompanying bacon were fine but all in all, we would never eat there again. Most hilarious was the fact that we couldn't pay woth our US credit cards because their machine wanted a pin amd our US credit cards don't have one. Luckily, we had a Dane in the party who could pick up the tab. In short, eat before you visit or bring a...
Read moreRight off the bat, a solid 3 stars. The venue is cute and inviting, the waitresses are friendly and prompt, and the menu is substantial without being too comprehensive.
The reason for the two missing stars is missing authenticity. The place claims to be the flavor of Texas and it's not (yet). It's close but a few key elements are missing. The chef should pay attention to this; burger patties are not supposed to be bland or cooked through - thoroughly through :-). In fact, there's a lot of things you can do to add authenticity to a pattie while preserving the flavor of the meat. Secondly, and not necessarily criticizing the chef here; any hot food coming out of the kitchen should be served hot. Semi cold food takes a lot of the pleasure out of a meal.
All things said and done, it's a charming place and I would come again. Just pointing out that there are major achievements in sight, demanding almost no...
Read moreSo unicly BAD you only go there one time! Waiters are way to busy and overworked or they are just overbooking themselves. 20 minutes waiting time to order and 40 minutes before you get drinks - just beer and soda. Food came after 45 minutes “ok”.. Spaghetti Bolognese for the kid was unetable and overcooked and over seasoned and spicy. They dropped the oregano or something in it. We made them aware and kitchen didn’t agree. I do not believe it is actually a chef cooking that meal for a kid. My piece of advice - go to the supermarked and buy some convinience food you just need to heat. That is for sure a better meal and will save you some money. And poor waiters that need to “face” that kind of music. Standing in line to pay, you only hear peoble complain about too long waiting time, cold...
