A truly unforgettable gastronomic experience at Restaurant Ö
We had the immense pleasure of dining at Restaurant Ö during a magical sunset, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. We selected the tasting menu with wine pairing, and it far exceeded every expectation, a true symphony of flavors, precision, and creativity.
What makes this experience even more remarkable is the warmth and uniqueness of the family behind the restaurant. The service was flawless, graceful, attentive, and in perfect harmony with the culinary artistry. We brought our daughter along, fully aware that there was no children's menu, and yet the team went above and beyond to ensure she felt comfortable and cared for throughout the entire evening. This level of attention and hospitality is truly rare.
The menu itself was a masterpiece, refined, balanced, and deeply thoughtful. Each dish was a celebration of seasonal ingredients, technique, and elegance. Without a doubt, this was one of the finest dining experiences of my life.
Restaurant Ö is a gem, a place where passion, excellence, and authenticity meet. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking not just a meal, but an experience...
Read moreBook a table right now! You won't regret it. This place is a gem. Situated with a perfect view over the harbour in Nysted it's spectacular sitting outside on a summer night, and quaint sitting indoor if it's cold. The menu is simple. A choice between two starters, 3 mains and two deserts (at least when we went). And while they are known for their fish, my boyfriend praised his tartar and we could see they also offered some lamb and beef. The menu probably changes from time to time though. The place is owned by a married couple, wife in the kitchen and husband greeting at the door. You will be treated well but informal. With only one chef they only serve 10 tables or so per night, so while you can take a chance we didn't have any luck and had to book a table for another night. And it's only fair to cancel if you can't make it. We saw them turn people away, while one table eventually had to be cleared because people didn't show up - that's sad. But - seriously, the fish was cooked to perfection, falling of the bones. The view spectacular. You won't regret...
Read moreMost expensive Cappuccino and worst service during our whole Scandinavia trip. Although all tables were vacant we were told how and where to sit. This is not the problem per se but the way we were told made us feel not welcome. Singing a song to our babyboy made the owner demonstratively shut the door to the terrace where we were sitting. Our bad impression was then completed with a bill over 80 Krones for two small Cappuccini. This left a feeling of having to pay more than usual. However the Cappuccino was good and the interiour is really nice. So if you don't mind rude manners, this is probably still a nice...
