It was disappointing in terms of service. The food wasn’t that creative but it tasted good except the scallops maybe. The cream sauce they were in, lacked essence and flavour but scallops in itself was cooked well.
There was one old lady as a waitress and the receptionist and everything else looked like. Low span of attention. Screamed from across the dining hall to the reception when people waiting to be seated dinged the bell 🤦🏽♀️ (Manners and etiquettes are so important for a fine dining restaurant)
I guess she didn’t have many people of colour walking through the door for them or should I blame her conditioning and lack of diverse and uncultured upbringing that she refused to speak to me on the table and just spoke only to my blue eyed red haired very Danish husband. 😅
So it basically wasn’t worth 750 dkk for 2. I have had proper 5 course meals for that amount with far more creative food coming out of the kitchen and polite and well mannered service. Such a shame really! But I guess as a foreigner I’m not allowed to ask for...

Read moreDen 27. juni var vi 45 glade tidligere gymnasieelever årgang 1975 fra Maribo Gymnasium til 50 års studenterjubilæum i Bangs Have, og hver eneste havde betalt - ifølge en mail fra Bangs Have selv - 295 kroner for en festfrokost-buffet + lidt ekstra for bordpynt.
Buffet'en bestod af .... hold nu godt fast:
Røde sild med alt for få løgringe og en smule dild (og kun smør og ikke fedt til brødet, som i øvrigt var OK)
½ æg med mayo og 1/8 skive tomat som pynt
Fiskefilet (den var OK) med en ucharmerende cafeteria-stor skål med købe-remoulade
Roastbeef med en lige så stor skål købe-ristede løg
Lun købe-leverpostej med FOR LIDT bacon og champignons
Smagsløs brie med lidt totalt ligegyldigt købe-"sylt"
BASTA!
DET VAR HELT SERIØST, HVAD DER VAR.
Ingen umage og absolut uden kulinarisk stolthed og hjemmelavede indslag.
Selv på en københavner-restaurant kunne vi have fået en platte med samme indhold for +/- 150 kroner.
Og NEJ, det var IKKE inkl. drikkevarer, så alt flydende blev efterfølgende faktureret pr. person.
Men så var der vel masser af personale til at hjælpe og fylde op???
Næææh, der var stort set ingen opmærksomhed eller interesse fra personalet, før vi skulle betale for vores drikkevarer.
Stedet har smuk beliggenhed - derfor stjernen.
Men hvorfor gider man ikke gøre sig umage, når der kommer 45 personer, som sagtens kunne finde på at anbefale stedet til fremtidige familiearrangementer?
Jeg vil argumentere kraftigt for, at vi mødes et andet sted til vores næste...
