Café Fru Dax — Restaurant in Tønder Municipality

The most rude and unfriendly service I have witnessed in a long time. First, being scolded for not waiting at the "wait to be seated sign" (sorry for not seeing it, my 4 year old ran towards your kids play area and I went after him because I want to keep an eye on him). I don't need to be talked down to by an irritated waitress on my holiday or any other day. You work in the service industry, remember? Then when seated another waitress came over and with a fury smacked down 2 menus on our table and walked away without even looking at me. I decided then and there to leave and not spend a dime at this awful establishment. I wouldn't get coffee there if it was offered to me for free. Every time we visit home, we go to Fru Dax on Rømø. It's been a family favorite for years, since they first opened, and we share it with our friends. They've always been so good with allergies, but since they have new management, it hasn't been the same. Some of the fixtures are worse for wear, but the worst was our experience today. My gluten free stjerneskud had croutons and bread toasted on the same toaster as the regular bread. I got sick and the staff didn't even apologize. Great food. Huge portions, a main dish is more than sufficient for two adults. Good choice for children. Menu in three languages. Booze is quite expensive but normal for Denmark. Great service.
