We addressed the matter to the waitress, she went on to check with the kitchen, and returned with the message that it is “tatiaki” prepared. Looking up “tatiaki tuna”, you will find that this is actually a “gently seared tuna”, resting a minute after the searing, and then served. Not like what was explained when questioned: A tuna steak grilled cooled down to refrigerator temperature, cut and served.
