We stayed at Fishing Lodge in Cap Cana. The resort food was quite expensive, this restaurant was not. Especially considering it's the most authentic Italian food you will find. We ate here for five out of seven nights of our stay. Every night, the service made us feel like royalty. The food here is made with love and passion. As Canadian's, we weren't able to tip as well as other tourists could be able to. We made sure to treat them extra special on our last night. The calamari were hard and had an unseasoned coating, resulting in an unpleasant taste. Read moreVentured off property from the St Regis to this gem. The food alone was 5 stars but we were also met with great speedy service, and very fare prices - highly recommend grabbing an uber and coming here for some amazing Italian food.
