La Cochera — Restaurant in Santiago de los Caballeros

On a slow night they show the fact they don't care about their customers! Tonight the waiter everyone just standing around and they can't take care of the customers in a descent way. The waiter we had obviously didn't care less about his customers... after an hour we still are waiting for our order with a pizza and obviously he forgot to put it in and instead of apologizing for the mistake, maybe offering us something while we continue to wait and including the manager man in the white polo shirts they tried to deny everything even though they originally brought the pizza stand to the table yet never brought the pizza!! Don't waste your time and money here! Especially on a slow night! They don't care! If you are American or English speaking people there are much better restaurants around! Right across the bridge. This the main spot for poeple that are looking for an affordable and delicious meal. All typical dishes from the cibao area and more. The dish of the day is the main attraction for most of the customers. Portions are good for the prices. The staff is well prepared and knowledgeable. The restaurant gets really busy during lunch time. Food is tasteful with the typical flavors of country food. Every time I'm in Santiago I eat here three of four times during my vacations. La comida no estaba mal, pero Dios mío, el servicio al cliente es el PEOR. Caminamos a nuestra propia mesa, nadie nos saludó en absoluto. Cuando estábamos listos para ordenar, tuvimos que pedirle a la chica que viniera a tomar nuestro pedido porque estaba demasiado ocupada con su teléfono. Nuestra comida salió fría y tuvimos que pedirles que la recalentaran y esperamos otros 30 minutos para que la recalentaran después de esperar alrededor de una hora para que trajeran nuestra comida. No vale la pena en absoluto, recomiendo ir a otro lugar.

The food wasn’t bad but omg the customer service is the WORST. We walked ourselves to our own table, no one greeted us at all. When we were ready to order we had to ask the girl to come take our order cause she was too busy on her phone. Our food came out cold and we had to ask them to reheat it and waited another 30 minutes for them to reheat it after waiting about an hour for them to bring our food out. Not worth it at all, recommend...
