I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Sea Gull Restaurant in Alexandria, Egypt, and it was truly a delightful experience. Located right by the Mediterranean Sea, this restaurant offers an amazing blend of fresh seafood, stunning views, and warm hospitality. The ambiance at Sea Gull is unbeatable. The restaurant has a spacious outdoor terrace overlooking the sea, where guests can enjoy the gentle sea breeze and breathtaking sunsets. It's an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a good meal with family and friends. Now, onto the food. Sea Gull specializes in seafood, and they do it exceptionally well. Their menu features a wide variety of seafood dishes, from grilled fish to seafood tagine. The fish is always fresh and well seasoned. The side dishes, include sautéed vegetables and rice. The service at Sea Gull is friendly and attentive. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and eager to offer recommendations. One thing to note is that this restaurant tends to get quite busy, especially during peak dining hours, so it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance to secure your spot. The prices are on the higher side. However, considering the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the overall experience, it's well worth the occasional visit. In conclusion, it's a must-visit for seafood lovers and anyone looking for a memorable dining experience by the sea. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this restaurant offers a taste of Alexandria's maritime charm that you won't want to miss. Kids Also can Enjoy playing at the terrace, ride ponies and...
Read moreThe food there is very nice. I tried plenty of dishes including seafood soup, grilled shrimp, fried calamari, mussels, caviar salad, grilled fish and that other marinated fish thing. Well they also make fresh bread that comes with the food. It’s very nice but you might have to ask them to refill ur bread basket and ask for extra lemons too since they didn’t put enough on the table. It was very noisy and families with crying babies were very annoying but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. However u can ask the waiters to take care of the noisy customers. After all, ur paying quit some money so u might as well get to enjoy ur meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Oh they also have a mini private museum that u can look at and even purchase items. They also have a nice cafe open area right on the beach. That’s really nice. I think they also have shisha there. There are ponies (sisi horses) that u can pet or even play with. Very friendly staff. Parking available free of charge and u can ask the garage man to give ur car a quick wash while ur enjoying ur meal. Just don’t forget to tip the guy for washing ur car 😄 that’s all....

👍 The Positives
The view is absolutely stunning — you feel it’s worth the trip just for scenery. The kids’ area is great; families will appreciate it. Seafood in general is tasty and fresh. They serve beer, which is a nice plus.

The location is quite far, so plan and get ready to get lost The prices are somewhat overpriced — especially considering some quality issues.
The butterfly shrimp issue: out of a ½ kg order, two pieces were burnt. When I mentioned it to the chef, he insisted that it was “normal,” — as if I’ve never eaten butterfly shrimp properly.
What frustrated me most: as we are a group of 30, we ordered over 10 kilograms of shrimp — and they still charged me for those two burnt pieces I tasted. It feels unfair, especially when the blame shifts onto the...
