One of the best experineces i ever had with nubian local foods ^_^ Nubian local people work in the place, the place is owned & designed by A great mind Architect, loved talking with him about the idea of the place.

The chef is nubian and all the stuff too, amd its a place of dream for those who want to experience a local food of a lost civilization, the Nubian Civilization :") i cant believe this place existed until i went there...

We had the best time in Solaih. Bigeh Island is just magnificent, you have the best view of Philae Temple. The restaurant is self-sufficient and everything is fresh and made for you. The food was delicious. Most importantly, the people are very warm, welcoming and respectful. They showed us around their farm, invited us to a family wedding and explained to us the history of the island and the people on it. Would recommend everyone to visit Solaih for an unforgettable experience. I, for one, would be going again on my next...

In order to dine here, we had to place our food orders at least one day in advance, as the food is prepared to-order. Despite this inconvenience, we appreciated the resulting reduction in food waste.

The stuffed pigeons were very tasty! We had two per person (because gluttony). We also ordered the okra, garlic salad, and soft bread -- all good as well.

The restaurant itself is situated on an island and has a great view of the Philae Temple, where if you're lucky you may overhear a dramatic Pharaonic...
