Caizo - كايزو — Restaurant in Cairo

Caizo is such a great restaurant which serves best Egyptian meet Shawerma in town, and here we have to understand that it divers a lot than the Syrian Shawerma, it is served in fluffy fresh buns which anyone usually need to eat at least three sandwich to feel good. Chicken Shawerma is not so special, however it’s clean and tasty as they serve it with pickles, mayonnaise and full leaf mint, the issue is that it’s mostly cold (not hot, but fresh). This branch is the first one of Caizo and the most popular among all the rest branches. They also serve a signature Hawawshi sandwich which is also known for being clean and delicious Caizo is mostly busy all the time, but typically the line moves very fast. The ambience of the place is too friendly and inclusive. There are plenty of tables and it’s such a perfect place for families. They have large screen which often shows important soccer games and there are also few more cafes. Among which there is a subsidiary of Caizo called el JUGO which serves signature juices, coffee and other beverages. Beef Shawerma 2/5 Chicken Shawerma 2.5/5 Hawawshy 4/5 Mango 2.5/5 Service is very good. The juice was warm. This is my second time and I was not very happy with my previous experience and thought it could improve, sadly it didn’t. Overall experience is average. The outdoor area is very nice, it is nice hangout place with friends and family. About the food: The Beef Shawerma was watery which diluted the taste meat it is lost in the watery sauce. Hawashi is very good yet a bit greasy but this is part of the Hawashi experience in most places. Chicken shawerma tasted better the meat to my surprise but it is average. تجربتي الأخيرة في مطعم Caizo بالتجمع الخامس كانت مختلطة. من ناحية الطعام، لا شك أنه مميز جدًا، المذاق كان لذيذًا، والمكونات طازجة، والتتبيلة متقنة، والوجبة تستحق التقدير فعلًا. مطبخهم يعكس جودة عالية ويقدم تجربة مميزة لعشاق الأكل الفاخر.

لكن، الخدمة كانت مخيبة للآمال بشكل واضح. قمت بتأكيد الطلب مسبقًا وحصلت على رقم الطلب (رقم 5)، لكنني انتظرت أكثر من 30 دقيقة للاستلام. وعندما ذهبت للاستلام، أخبرني الموظف في الاستقبال واسمه عبد الله أن الأولوية لطلبات “طلبات” وليس للحضور الشخصي! والمفاجأة أنه كان يخدم رقم 22 بينما أنا ما زلت أنتظر رقم 5.

عند استيائي من هذا التعامل غير المهني، تدخل المشرف مشكورًا وحرّك الطلب بسرعة، ولكن التأخير وعدم احترام ترتيب الأرقام ترك انطباعًا سلبيًا.

الخلاصة: الطعام ممتاز ويستحق التجربة، ولكن مستوى الخدمة والتنظيم يحتاج إلى تحسين كبير. إن تم العمل على تطوير تجربة العميل، سيكون Caizo من أفضل مطاعم القاهرة الجديدة.

Amazing Food, But Disappointing Service at Caizo – New Cairo

My recent experience at Caizo in Fifth Settlement was a mix of highs and lows. On the positive side, the food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and the overall preparation showed real attention to detail. Their kitchen clearly delivers high-quality meals that food lovers will appreciate.

However, the service was quite disappointing. I placed my order in advance and received order number 5, yet I waited for over 30 minutes to collect it. When I approached the counter, the staff member Abdullah informed me that Talabat delivery orders take priority, even though I was physically there. Shockingly, he was serving order number 22 while number 5 (mine) had still not been processed.

After expressing my frustration, a supervisor thankfully stepped in and expedited the order, which helped, but the poor handling and disregard for order sequence left a negative impression.

In summary: The food is truly excellent and worth trying, but the service and customer experience need serious improvement. If they can streamline operations and respect walk-in customers, Caizo could easily become one of the top dining spots...
