The restaurant is a french restaurant that ran out of meat…
The appetizers are below average, but one problem was with the steak tartare. The description was as follows: “fillet steak, truffle, shallots, truffle mayo, olive oil, lemon zest, black pearls, microgreens,” so no mention of any bread or anything, therefore what was expected was: a rounded beef tartare dish… only to get three thick breadsticks with a little bit of steak tartare on top… so that was a bit disappointing.
Going on to main courses, they were out of meat, and only had the very overpriced ribeye (1850 LE++), which wasn’t even a ribeye cut, they snuck me a very fatty thin cut that did not even taste good, with horrible sauces to accompany it:
(1. very fluid, tasteless Béarnaise sauce, which is supposed to be thick and full of flavor.
Very acidic mushroom sauce, which was horrible
“Entrecôte sauce”, which is basically very fluid pepper sauce with a lot of whole-grain pepper inside.)
So it’s safe to say their Ribeye steak is horrible. No, it does not look like the photo advertised by them at all. I regret not taking a picture of the actual dish.
The duck confit was really nice and very well done. It had orange glaze and carrot purée and was really nice.
I told them about the steak situation and they gave us a crème brûlée as an apology, which was a kind gesture of them, but not after paying 1850++ LE for the wrong steak cut served with horrible sauces. But was nice of them nonetheless.
Long story short, very nice-looking restaurant, food is not good, below average, except for the duck confit. Service wasn’t bad.
Not worth the price, paid 6250 LE for a below average meal for two. I would’ve given 3 stars, but for that price I expected much more. There are much better restaurants in Cairo for this...
Read moreAn absolute gem that masterfully balances luxury with warmth. From the moment you approach, there's an unmistakable air of elegance that somehow manages to feel inviting rather than pretentious.
The cordon bleu here is nothing short of exceptional – perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining succulent within. But the true showstopper is their chocolate fondue. The moment it arrives at your table, you're enveloped by the rich aroma of premium chocolate, creating an almost magical dining experience.
The staff deserves special mention – they're attentive and knowledgeable while maintaining that perfect balance of being present without hovering. Their genuine warmth adds significantly to the overall experience.
One tip: avoid peak hours if you want to fully savor the experience. This place truly shines during quieter periods, making it perfect for special occasions when you want to take your time and enjoy every moment.
A word of warning: the chocolate fondue will ruin all other...
Read moreThe staff is very welcoming and professional. The place is very well decorated and a great place to go with family or friends. There is a variety of seating options indoor and outdoor including booths, high tables, normal table and bar seating. There is live music or a DJ some days. They have a wide variety of food their pastas are great and their steak tender with great sides! My personal favorites are the beef brisket sliders and bone marrow, there used to be a lobster roll but unfortunately they removed it from the menu. My mocktail of choice is a virgin passion fruit mojito the perfect balance of sweet and sour. As for dessert the chocolate fondant and sticky toffee cake are my favorites with an extra scoop of ice cream of course. All in all this is suitable place to celebrate any occasion or just to have a...
