If you’re a fan of authentic Egyptian cuisine, Farahat Grill Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. This place is legendary, and for good reason. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed by the rich aroma of grilled meats and traditional spices that instantly set the mood for a remarkable culinary experience.

The true star of the show, without a doubt, is the stuffed pigeon. It’s not just a dish—it’s an experience. Perfectly roasted on the outside and bursting with flavorful stuffing on the inside, the pigeon at Farahat is tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The rice stuffing is aromatic and rich, with just the right balance of spices and texture. Every bite melts in your mouth and leaves you craving more.

Here’s what stood out during my visit: • The meat was cooked to perfection—crispy skin with moist and flavorful meat. • The rice stuffing was incredibly fragrant, with hints of cinnamon, herbs, and spices. • Portions were generous, offering great value for money. • The presentation was simple yet appetizing, staying true to Egyptian culinary roots. • Service was quick, friendly, and professional. • The overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for both locals and tourists.

Whether you’re a local looking for the taste of tradition or a visitor wanting to experience one of Egypt’s most iconic dishes, Farahat’s stuffed pigeon is unbeatable. I can confidently say it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in Cairo. Highly...

Farahat is a traditional Egyptian restaurant located in the heart of Cairo, on Al Azhar Street. It is known for its delicious and authentic cuisine, which includes a wide variety of grilled dishes, such as shish kebab and kofta, as well as other popular Egyptian dishes, such as stuffed pigeons and koshary.

The restaurant has a humble and unassuming atmosphere, with simple décor and wooden tables and chairs. However, the food is what sets Farahat apart from other restaurants in Cairo. The dishes are all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and are prepared with care and attention to detail.

One of Farahat's most popular dishes is the stuffed pigeons. The pigeons are stuffed with a mixture of rice, spices, and herbs, and are then roasted to perfection. The meat is juicy and flavorful, and the stuffing is perfectly seasoned.

Another popular dish is the koshary. Koshary is a traditional Egyptian dish made with rice, macaroni noodles, lentils, and chickpeas. It is topped with a fried tomato sauce and a crispy onion garnish. Farahat's koshary is one of the best in Cairo, and is a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.

If you are looking for a delicious and authentic Egyptian dining experience, then Farahat is the place to go. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from, all of which are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and are prepared with care and...

Farahat Never Misses!

Farahat is easily one of the best food spots in town—no exaggeration. If you’re craving something that actually hits the spot, this is the place. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming, the place is clean, and the smell of the food alone gets your appetite going.

Their signature dishes are on another level—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection every single time. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and they’re not stingy with portions either. I’ve brought friends and family here, and not once has anyone walked out disappointed.

The staff are super friendly and efficient, always checking in to make sure everything’s going great without being annoying. Service is fast, even when it’s busy, which shows they’ve got their system down.

Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or planning something with the whole squad, Farahat delivers. Easily a 10/10 experience—and I’ll keep coming back as long as they keep serving this...

The food was awful & we paid like 8k EGP all foods are re-heated we ordered and within 10minutes all foods arrived especially the meats were hard without flavour. I will never come back to this place I won't recommend in my experience. You can see in the pictures I attached hardly we didn't eat. The stuffed pigeons are dry, wara enad the rice is over cooked, the mombar was very dry, it made my throat dry for in need to hydrate my oesophagus. It was a dinner outing for 14 people and all was not pleased. Restaurant was not cleaned, not sanitised and unpleasant.
