Babbo’s Taverna — Restaurant in Matruh

The biggest ripoff I have seen in quite some time!

The prices they charge are at par with European or US prices, which is completely understandable. However, if they are to charge at these levels, the offering should be at least semi-decent. A tiny "steak sandwich" in a small "ta3meya" roll loaded with sauce and vegetables. Tiny servings of pasta etc. completely undermining the intelligence and, borderline disrespecting their customers.

Just enjoy the beach and stay away from these...

They dont answer phones, whTsapps, instagram. We had a reservation and we went all the way there only for them not to answer to send us our qr code. So we had to leave. Which tuned out to be an upside because we discovered the multiple possibilities nearby that we assume were much better. Privare beaches nearby in Almaza bay and ras el hikma ( la vista for example) will answer your inquiries right away, have great food and drinks, fair prices, great ambiance and most of all...

This is what really qualifies to be called a “hidden treasure”. My breakfast experience was great and that includes food as well as the scenery and simplistic design/atmosphere of the place. Highly recommended and I can’t wait to have a nice sunset lunch/dinner there and try out...
