“Beautiful view, but serious hygiene issues ruined the experience”

We had lunch at Abou Hanein Seafood Restaurant in Ain Sokhna, and at first, the experience seemed promising. The seating is right by the sea, which is lovely, and you get to choose your fish fresh from the display before they cook it for you. We tried the fried calamari and shrimp, and both were tasty. The seafood soup was decent, and the service was fine—not bad at all.

However, the real issue was the cleanliness of the place. There were way too many flies around, which made the whole meal uncomfortable—especially for the kids. Sadly, what really turned the experience into a negative one was that we all ended up with severe food poisoning afterward. We spent the rest of the day dealing with stomach pain and using digestive disinfectants.

It’s unfortunate because the location and concept are great, but serious improvements in hygiene are urgently needed. I wouldn’t recommend it unless the cleanliness standards are...

Extremley poor dinner. Food is poorly presented and crammed on small plastic plates with no utensils, cups, tissues, etc... provided even after being requested numerous times. If you like bad restaurants: come here! If you like noisy children: come here! If you like poor service: come here! If you like rude staff: come here! NEVER COME HERE UNLESS YOUR AN IDIOT! They moved someone numerous times for some person by moved is I mean literally took bags and shouted to move! We were forced to move to some chairs on a hill. Love it. The view amazing. Great sea food. Fresh. The best. I recommend it. The people are friendly. We have been 4 times to sokhna and we always choose Abu Haneen. While waiting for your food to be ready don't miss looking at the sea and the Panorama. One side is the rocky mountain and another side is the sea. Morning or night the view is somehow romantic breathtaken. They close very late. You can order and pick up. You have time for your swim sea walk shower relax then pick up your food and enjoy eating.
