Cachivaches — Restaurant in San Salvador

3 starts because of the view and the beautiful place they have made. The set up is just lovely, they have many plants and flowers all over and it looks really cute. The view is breathtaking! I love to go to places with such incredible view. We were a large party and the place wasn’t crowded at all when we went. Literally just another 2 tables taken and that’s it. That’s was a first sigh but we still stayed because it was so cute there . Ordered drinks and food. Their menu is large and they have foods that is not for locals really. Just upper middle class trying to show off. They got pizzas, pasta stale wines etc. I just wanted to eat pupusas and they don’t make them. Ok first, this area is famous for having the best pupusas so how can you not sell them? That’s was sign number 2. I ordered a salad and it was the most awful salad I’ve ever had. Dry, plain, and just not enjoyable. My friends ordered pizza and they messed up the order. Plus it wasn’t good either I tried it. We ordered appetizers and it was just meat and it was tasteless. We couldn’t eat it either. Its a really expensive place and no way I recommend it. I should’ve stocked to the other place that was packed it just didn’t have a view sad... oh well lesson learned. Don’t come here. They also have a lot of dogs begging for food and that just broke my heart. I gave them food and the owner (maybe) said they don’t kick them out bc they like dogs and they take care of the place. This I didn’t mind they were cute just hungry. Anyway, good place for pics...

Best food with a great view near the city. Service is great. Good vibes with the beautiful plants and decor. I think I even saw a turkey walking around. Food is ok. Parking is really hectic on busy days. Ask to sit outside.

Food is good but not the best 8/10,

Really liked the ceviche it’s not so expensive and it’s a big portion.

Piña colada was really good.

El churrasco could of tasted better or been cheaper for the price, but because of the location you’re forced to eat what’s around there and this is the best place around.

i feel like my churrasco needed some chimichurri or chirmol, i suggest they maybe add options for some extra flavour.

Food is a little overpriced because of the location, it has a great view so ask to sit outside. Sunset has a really nice view and at night it has my favorite view of the city lights and it’s preferable to sit outside as it’s a little cooler

It’s my grandparents favorite spot but they get too hot outside during hot days. My grandparents love how they got antiques all over the place...

Que tal amigos les Saluda el Chef Brizuela, como todos saben hace poco cumpli años, y por el tiempo de mi trabajo fuimos a desayunar hoy 2 de Nov. A este hermoso lugar, Cachivaches, un lugar muy bonito, con una ambiente rústico, y muy bien distribuido, hoy tenían a un trío que andaba de mesa en mesa complaciendo a todos los que llegamos a disfrutar, de entrada tuvimos la oportunidad de ser atendido por el mesero llamado Omar, una persona que ya quisieran muchos restaurantes tenerlo como mesero, servicio único, atento y educado de verdad que nos hizo disfrutar aún más nuestra estadía, a la entrada, tiene una vitrina llena de postres para los gustos más exigentes, tiene un menú bastante atractivos, los precios andan desde los $6 en adelante, mi plato que es un menú muy completo costaba menos de $10 (ver foto), al momento que nos ubicamos en mesa el mesero nos llevó unos picheles de café con pan dulce de la casa, y con el clima que hoy amaneció bastante fresco, nos cayó como anillo al dedo, con el desayuno no hay nada mejor que sea recién hecho, y en su punto, a pesar que habia una afluencia moderada el servicio fue bastante rápido, tanto el servicio como el ambiente te hacen sentir como en casa, y con un desayuno perfecto, aún mucho mejor, todo se miraba bien, sabía bien y la pasamos bien, es por esa la razón que para mí, fue de 5 estrellas 💫💫💫💫💫, felicidades, espero otro día probar sus almuerzos que se miraban bastante atractivos.
