La Cantina Gastrobar — Restaurant in San Salvador

Terrible experience. We were the only customers, and still so many screw-ups. I ordered a martini, but they were out of olives, so I ordered something else. They still charged me for the martini, even though I never received it! I ordered the fish filet with citrus sauce and rice, and I received fish in pink mayonnaise sauce with French fries. When I showed them the menu, the waitress didn’t react. I don’t think she was literate. Another woman came out and said that they didn’t have rice, and that they updated their menu a year ago and now it comes with mayonnaise sauce. I showed her the menu (no physical menus- just bar codes), and she agreed they needed to update it. I didn’t eat my fish, and was still charged for it. They did remove the cost of the martini I never received, however. Frustrating to have to pay for something I couldn’t eat. My friend enjoyed his tacos, however, so I give it 2 stars for...

First time visiting even though it's just a few minutes away from home. We visited on a Monday night which is far from their busy time. Thusly. We got great service. Every little thing we needed, they were on top of it. The food was quick, and tasty. Prices are adequate for the area, the atmosphere was ok. I'm sure on the weekends it's a lot better. Over all had one drink and two small dishes. Happy with the quality. Only real complaint I have is that there is a large drink menu and they do not have one hard seltzer...

La Cantina totally rocked my evening! Loved the vibe, the crowd, and the infectious energy. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the staff were super accommodating, making an exception to get me a table. They really know how to treat their guests!
