San Martin Bakery — Restaurant in Santa Tecla

I would have rated this place higher except for one major issue with their policy of charging gratuity automatically upfront. This policy tends not too lead to excellent customer service in that there is no incentive too provide excellent customer service as they will receive gratuity no matter what service is rendered. I never understood taking the decision away from the customer. It makes no logical sense to me. I believe they need to review their policy and find a resolution that does not involve increased prices. Overall the service was friendly but we were not offer refills in coffee until we asked and we had two wait as the servers were not attentive. Nice restaurant. The food is very good. I love their Santa Fe salad. It has corn, chicken, lettuce and black beans. It taste very good! I love the variety of sandwiches and hurguers. After visiting The Little Prince theme park, I decided to stop by San Martin Bakers and Cafe as it was conveniently located nearby and only took a few minutes to walk there.
