I would say that visiting this place left us with a bit confused emotions.

On one hand the resto itself is very beautiful and cosy. And I’ve heard great things about it from friends . But the menu is weird - there is no theme, you can get anything from sushi to risotto, from Asian soup to burger. The winelist is very mediocre, it is basically owned by one single importer.

The food itself looked absolutely stunning, but some dishes lacked a taste accent. For example, I would want an Asian beef soup be more spicy and umami-rich; pumpkin & mushroom risotto had a texture more of a porridge, scallop dish had very neutral tastes, shrimp & spinach ravioli too. The only dish that really took my breath away was the pistachio creme-brûlée - both presentation and taste were spectacular.

The service was slightly disappointing too. They saw by documents that my husband was not local, hear us talking in foreign language and still bring him menu in Estonian without asking. Bread was not offered, though later I noticed it is charged additionally here (such a nonsense!). The food took a very long waiting. We had to serve our wine ourselves during dinner.

So, overall, there is everything given to be spectacular, just turn the volume a bit up on the taste of dishes and pay more...

We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, 2 desserts (both ice cream cocktails), and 2 kids' meals, plus house bread. We also had a Calvados, a gin cocktail, and a Prosecco. The goat cheese mousse was very good, brilliantly executed, with great taste, texture, and visual appeal. The raspberry accent was very suitable. The beef tartare was very well marinated and definitely in the TOP 3 beef tartares in Tallinn. Perhaps capers and quail egg accents could be added. The main courses were a disappointment. We ordered duck noodles and shrimp-chicken soup. Neither was worth the price. The soup could have been saltier with a deeper flavor, while the noodles and duck were inexplicably bland with slimy buckwheat noodles. The drinks were good, the service was okay, nothing special. The kids' meals were pointless: fries and nuggets like everywhere else. If the main courses could match the quality of the appetizers, this place would be worthy of a Michelin star...

Food quality and taste is excellent. We got daily special, sushi, duck breast and pork confit. And I would say daily special pork fillet was the best of it - taste, big enough portion and well balanced sidedish. Sushi was also good, but you could get same experience from sushi places with lot less. Pork fillet portion was okay, but could have benefited from a little bit of the pepper. And duck breast Christmas special - most costly dish of it all, taste was okay, garnish very beautiful, but portion was quite small: would have needed a very hefty side dish and a little bit of more duck. Table water was the priciest I have seen lately - 2.4 for 1l flavored tap water. Although there weren't many tables taken, we were seated next to the outside door: there were lot of cold air gusts and server's walk bys. Server's work was professional and prompt. Overall expected a little...
