OKO Resto — Restaurant in Viimsi vald

It slightly breaks my heart to give this place a 3-star rating, as I used to love OKO. The location is amazing and the sourdough pizzas are fantastic. However, what used to be a restaurant with slightly higher prices and great service has turned for the worse. 14€ for truffle fries which were "fine". I'm sorry, but for that price point I would expect perfection of fries, not "okay". (Just for contrast - you can find truffle fries in Tallinn for ~6.20€ that are far superior in taste and texture) I wouldn't mind the price if I felt like I was paying for the quality. The rest of the menu, from what we tried - flavours were great, but portion sizes rather small for the prices. Even the higher prices and small portions would be fine, if the service would be as great as the location. I have experienced great service in OKO some years back, but the previous couple of times I have visited, the service has been below average at best. Servers confused, constantly serving the wrong meals to the wrong people, returning to the kitchen to check and then maybe 3rd try would make it to the right customers. Heard people complaining from multiple tables that parts of their orders never arrived and I had to call out to a waitress offering our food to someone else just because I recognised our order from afar. Not to mention a glass of beer taking 15 minutes to arrive to the table. I understand that new servers might not have the experience, but that kind of chaos falls on the shoulders of management. I recently visited this restaurant with a group of six, and the experience was quite disappointing. While the pizza we ordered was tasty with a nice dough, the rest of the dining experience left much to be desired.

To begin with, the service was extremely slow. When we arrived, the waiter only took our drink orders and didn't ask if we were ready to order food. This meant we had to wait for our drinks for a full half-hour before we could even place our food orders. This unnecessary delay was frustrating and set a bad tone for the evening.

When our food finally arrived, although it was presented nicely, the taste was very plain and lacked any excitement. The flavors were basic, something you could easily whip up at home without much effort. For the high prices they charge, I expected a lot more in terms of taste and creativity.

Moreover, the waitress serving us seemed like a trainee and made several mistakes. She didn't clear the empty bottles from our table and even left wine glasses in front of the kids who were drinking water. This lack of attention to detail added to our overall dissatisfaction.

In summary, while the pizza was decent, the slow service, plain food, and inattentive waitress made for a disappointing and overpriced dining experience. I would not recommend...

Two star 🌟 rating for this place. One star for food 🥘 and other one for the location of this place, which is outstanding.

Regarding everything else - BIG disappointment.

1. Waiting time - at first when we arrived, we were waiting like 15 minutes for the menus before it was enough for me and I went to ask if there is table service or I have to order from the bar because nobody is serving us. After that menus arrived.

2. Since one of us was vegan 🌱 she especially ordered pizza WITHOUT cheese 🧀. You can guess 3 times if her pizza arrived without cheese. Surprise - it arrived with cheese. And that was not enough, her pizza was totally cold.

For a high-class restaurant like this, you cant have a low-class service, its absolutely terrible. You need to re-train your staff completely. Food waiting time was also too long in my opinion because there wasnt that much guests there at that time. Also waiter did not bring us napkins and did not even come to our table to ask if everything is ok while we were eating.
