Caffeol Coffee — Restaurant in Addis Ababa

My recent visit to Cafeol coffee left me deeply disappointed. What started as a pleasant outing with my family quickly turned sour due to the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the owner.

Despite the charming ambiance of the cafe, the experience was marred by an unfortunate encounter with the owner. Not only did she display blatant disrespect towards her staff, but she also demonstrated a lack of regard for customers, and particularly for the table where my family was sitting.

During our visit, I made a simple request to enjoy an afogato with the coffee served separately, a request that seemed to stir unwarranted attention from the owner. Her subsequent intervention, instructing the server to explain the concept of an afogato and insisting that Icecream should not be consumed separately, was not only unnecessary but also condescending. The owner kept rudely insisting, saying, "This is not an ice cream shop. If you want ice cream, go look for it around the corner." So dismissive and disrespectful!

The discomfort felt by both customers and staff in her presence was palpable, leaving a lingering sense of unease...

This café offers one of the widest selections of coffee in Addis Ababa, and both the ambiance and atmosphere are excellent. However, perhaps due to the busy environment, the cashier could be a bit more friendly. The menu displayed on the POS screen has very small fonts, so customers like me often need more time to decide, which sometimes leads to visible impatience from the cashier. ​I had a great experience at Caffeol Coffee! I was there for a meeting, and the atmosphere was perfect—it has a really nice, relaxed vibe that's great for both work and just hanging out with friends. I ordered an iced latte with extra caramel, and it was delicious; the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness. The coffee shop is a fantastic spot if you're looking for a comfortable and quiet place to catch up or get some work done. I'll definitely be back for...
