Showed up at 5:40 and asked for pizza and the lady told us that she wasnât sure if they had mozzarella left so we just order milkshakes and waited. 15 min later she brought the milkshakes (which were so thin like chocolate milk) and said they couldnât do pizza cause there was no mozzarella left so we order beef stir fry, chicken black bean sauce and beef stew. We placed our order at 6 waited till 6:45, still no food so we asked and the lady said 20-25 min longer on the food. Finally at 7:14 the food came out and she didnât apologise or nothing for the more than 1 hour wait and worse yet the food was terrible. The beef was so dry and chewy like beef jerky in the stir fry, the stew was soooo salty you couldnât even eat it and the chicken was also hard and chewy. So overall waited 1 hour and 15 min, food was terrible, milkshakes thin as, service was terrible and food was expensive $15 for milkshakes and $30-$35 for mains. They werenât busy either only one other group here who waited almost as long as us. Would give a -5 rating if I could, donât waste ur...
Read moreI had heard that this was an awesome place to have breakfast while visiting Taveuni. So I convinced my other 3 fellow travelers to join me for breakfast here. The Dive is a small cafe located on a beautiful beach spot. So, the location is great. The food (we all had pancakes) was pretty mediocre. The pancakes were small, with 1 tiny packet of syrup. The service was atrocious. Our waitress said like two words to us, and seemed put out having to serve us. We were the only ones there. So, it wasn't like she was super busy, or overworked. Bad day? Who knows? I was disappointed....other than the view. Parking is quite limited. You have to park out along the edge of the road. Don't pull in near the restaurant, or the diving shop. They'll ask you to move. Personally, I wouldn't...
Read moreEnjoyed their lovo dinner special that included local entertainment and karaoke! $50 fijian/person gets you this and a buffet FULL of delicious food like chili beef, chicken, fish, kokoda, and other traditional dishes. The view was amazing with the sunset providing the most stunning backdrop for the evening prior to the local entertainment - which included some dances from the local women and youth that were so fun to watch. They even got us all up and dancing with them, such a treat!
The service was also exceptional - our server was so kind and he was the first to get up on the stage to show us his singing skills as well, which were absolutely beyond anything we could expect!!!
Breakfast here is also tasty and worth a visit. But don't miss...
