LC's Restaurant — Restaurant in Viti Levu

What I like about L.C's is it's not trying to pretend to be anything that it's not. LC's is a great local restaurant . The decor is simple and the food is tasty fresh and well priced. It may not be the most glamorous place in town but the food is really tasty and consistently good. I've lost count of the number of times I've eaten here and tried a wide variety of dishes and never had a bad one. The chicken and veggies dish is great , my body thanks me for the fresh celery and cashew stir fry and the wanton soup is the best I've had anywhere, which given I've been going to China for 20 years on business says a lot. It's not a 5 star restaurant ; the decor is tired and the bathrooms need to be cleaner ; actually ripped out and replaced and the attention to detail around the edges of the restaurant with regards to cleanliness leaves a little to be desired but when it comes to the food ; you get more than what you expect for what you pay. LC's has been around for longer than I can remember and I expect it will be around for years more as you know exactly what you are going to get ; good honest tasty freshly cooked food that's not too fancy and is good value. I have been eating here on avg 2-3 times a month for over 15 years, it used to be the only Chinese place to recommend in Nadi.

Unfortunately over the last 2 to 3 years standards have dropped significantly. Food that used to take 15min to 20min max now takes over an hour, service staff turnover has meant worse and worse service to the point of rude and disrespectful staff but worst of all their famous LC’s flavour is no longer what it used to be.

It’s sad that a restaurant that was consistently great for over a decade has fallen so much. Tonight was a last try to see if there had been any improvement… it was the worst service and taste yet, so bad we had to return some food and unfortunately will be the last time we will go to what was once our...

The restaurant has certainly gone backwards from what it use to be, the restaurant wasnt that busy however we waited for almost 30 for our first dish to come out. The first dish we ordered was soup and than the other dishes came out after the soup was finished by 15 minutes. Other dishes came out one at a time and they actually forgot to one dish we ordered. It was only brought to us when we asked about it 😔 As for the ambient, it seemed like their exhaust wasn't working as tge restaurant filled up with smoke! So disappointed at how LC is...
