Raju's Restaurant — Restaurant in Viti Levu

This is NOT Raju's Khana Khazana. That is in Martintar Rd. It is not this place, so ignore all those photos and those bad reviews. Unfortunately Raju's restaurant is suffering because of Raju's Khana Khazana's bad reviews.

The location of the place is terrible. Along a side street, opposite some businesses.

It's a fairly small shop, but there is one outside table for six people and about 5 inside tables each for six. Half the place was full, so it seems the food is popular.

I was there at just before 4pm and the vegetarian curry had sold out. That was disappointing. They only make x amount and if it sells out, then too bad.

Their prices are very cheap. Their portions and small to medium, which is reflected in their cheap price.

It allowed me to get two dishes. I had the dal and chicken curry with rice and one roti. The dal was great, I really enjoyed that. The taste and the flavour of the chicken curry was really good, but the meat they used was mainly gristle and bone. The roti soft and fluffy.

I also took 6 pakora and 1 samosa. I was supposed to keep the pakora for an evening snack with tea, but they disappeared so quickly. It was really good. I've not tasted the somas yet.

Don't be put off by how the shop looks. The portions are little less, but so is the price. My entire dinner with snacks was only $10.50. Where else can you buy tasty food...

Everytime we visit fiji, the first place we wanted to eat was at Rajus, Had the worst experience this time .we went for lunch on Wednesday 28th. The customer service was absolutely pathetic. I took cream bun into the restaurant ,so the cream doesn't melt in the car the indian lady said no outside food allowed although I explained im not eating n just sitting on the table, secondly she took order but missed some then she kept staring at the table. No smile at all. We did not eat free ,we paid for it. The food in Raju now is not as it used to be ,it had no taste n chillie lamb had tamarind in it. The food was not nice . Come on man it doesn't cost to smile ,the food extremely bad, do something about it...keep people who know how to service in restaurants. Thumps down, quite downgraded...the price was also ridiculous. Worst experience.Customers need privacy when eating obviously the lazy was not...

We went with my family last night we ordered duck curry and they served us with goat curry so we complained and they said don’t worry we will bring duck curry and Guess what the mixed duck with goat curry and served us again they thought we came from overseas so we don’t know the taste of duck and goat. I feel sorry for Fijian ladies in front line they trying to apologise which they don’t know person in kitchen knows everything. Look like they ran out of duck meat. So we call the chef and she tried to claim it’s duck and I showed her big goat ribs bones and fat pieces of goat meat she just left. And she never claimed back it duck .I saw some one else reviewed on duck curry as well. So guys be careful in this restaurant. Really disappointed and it was @ 9.30 pm can imagine how many restaurants...
