Cafe Monami — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

The food quality varies day to day and some days are not really good food/money ratio, it feels very expensive and some days it’s ok or even good.

They could easily run out of lunch options one hour or more before the end of the lunch time because ‘they had so many customers’. When it is a sunny weather they get a lot of ppl wanting lunch, so I don’t recommend to go there after 1:30, it is not reliable. It happened already 3 times with me, and it is not nice as there is nothing around that place to eat.

The place itself is very nice old wooden villa, though it is in need of renovation. I wish it could be open for dinner time, but most likely it will be even more expensive and more like a dining rather nice place to come for an evening tea and cake.

Nice location and nice interior! I have visited this cafe for 5-10 times and coffee/cake are great. Unfortunately one of the two lunch options is always sold out within 1-2 hours of starting time. I would wish that the cafe does not promise two lunch options, if one of them is always gone two hours before lunch is over. Additionally, staff has difficulties to manage tables and dirty dishes and customers clean the tables themselves.

This is a hidden gem that is must visit. I have visited Cafe Monami already 5 different times throughout the past few years. I visited first for a meeting where we were over 12 people in a private room, then 4 other times with friends and family.
