Italian cuisine in picturesque nature!

It’s our new go-to place on weekends! It sounds unassuming but the quality of the different foods ( pasta, salads and Neapolitan pizza ) is superb! So is the selection of coffees and quaint deserts + now in summer time there is a great gelato ice cream van right outside.

You can sit inside in the beautiful old wooden house or outside on plenty of wooden tables and benches. Atmosphere is rustic and extremely well maintained and clean place.

The church right next door also usually has some festivities on the weekends and you can go for a nice stroll in the relaxing nature around after eating.

Service is really efficient especially because there are many people who come there but they can handle it so queue time really has never been longer than 30 minutes (mostly shorter!). It seems family owned by real Italians and they speak both excellently Finnish and English as well, they are also very...

This is Italian Finnish cafeteria, pizza restaurant, small cabin near cemetery and PyhÀn Laurin kirkko. Owners are Italians and you definitely can sense it :D Here you can listen fluent Italian and Finnish mixed together, sense the passion and 2 different cultures together. So, if you wish to have silence "traditional" Finnish service, without colours, don't go here. But if you wish to taste absolutely amazing Italian gelato, pizza, cakes, take a small moment of your holiday from every day life, well this is your place indeed! Feel the family together in kitchen, taste of passion in cakes. Prices might be bit up in some cases, like gelato, but taste it! You won't complain afterwards :D ;) This is a fresh wind in middle of historical part of Vantaa. Nothing to do with Vantaa history tho, but just lovely, lovely place. ...Make me wonder, do you need bigger place for you at some point? :D Love to visit...

The place is quite nice. The food is awesome, and the service was good, very nice personnel.

I’ve been twice, first time for pizza, it was very good and fairly priced 15-20 euro.

Second time I went for brunch. I found it quite overpriced if compared to high quality brunch places which can be much cheaper.

And also, I should mention that the facilities seem to be insufficient as well as the staff. As a result the place is quite crowded with little room to walk, empty water dispensers, no glasses, etc. you get long queues (20+ mins) to order and also to access the toilet. Tables outdoors are not very comfortable and they definitely could use some umbrellas or shades cause if it’s sunny, sitting out there is unbearable after a short time.

Lots of room for improvement, especially given that...

Nice cozy place with genuine Italian pizza and ice cream. I’m assuming the vendor or the pizzas is Italian and uses very high quality flour and other ingredients for his pizzas. The other section has a lovely cozy cafe and lunch eatery with a vast option of foods. I ordered the creamy bacon pasta and the pork steak with creamed potatoes. Both were delicious. With the lunch deal you get a decent salad, bread and coffee too. Cakes and pastries also looked nice. Atmosphere is a very cozy traditional old Finnish farm style house. Deffo worth the visit if you’re in the area. Service is also friendly and efficient. Places look tidy and people/customers including babies were calm.

After all the good reviews and even one good pizza in the past, this last one was a big disappointment in the form of a rather expensive (19,5 €) tiny pizza (the previous one filled the pizza box) with mushrooms that had the unmistakable taste of charcoal. The crust was also quite crispy and hard lacking the typical and lovely chewiness of Neopolitan pizzas. Had I laid eyes on this on plate at the restaurant instead of getting take away, I would have most likely handed it back and asked for a new one or a refund. The chef that handed us the pizzas was pretty unfriendly. On the bright side, the setting is nice and the other offerings look good.

Disturbing for the environment. I would have given 5 stars because the outdoor pizza was great. They are served from takeaway boxes and with wooden knife/fork. There were only plastic lined mixed waste bins for disposing, no cardboard, energy or bio. There were zero items from their pizza waste that needed to go in mixed waste bins. Unlike the text on the underside of the box, they are not acting responsibly towards the environment. Their commercial waste costs would also be much cheaper as carboard is free, energy is very cheap, whereas mixed is expensive.
