Amazing place in a small city called Lohja 50km (45 min drive) west of Helsinki. It can’t get more personal with max 8 seats and only one menu at offer. Seasonally changing menu and all made only out of local products. Pure natural tastes throughout at very high quality and well prepared. The rye bread with some butter is simply heaven. Sit down, relax and enjoy! Also unusual great wines selected with care and sold in Finnish measures at affordable prices out from excellent Riedel glasses. All always well explained with a good story behind. Main focus on German and French wines with a big heart towards Riesling wines. Try afterward a local Finnish whiskey. Surely something you won’t try every day. This place is a drive away but definitely worth a detour.

Ainutlaatuinen kokemus vailla vertaa. Vastaavia konsepteja ei oikein muualla juuri ole tullut vastaan. Annoksissa korostui vuodenajan raaka-aineet ja kaiken hyödyntäminen, jolloin hävikkiä tulee mahdollisimman vähän. Yksikään annos ei sellaisenaan yltäisi top 3 maistamiini annoksiin, mutta yhdistettynä tunnelmaan, paikkaan, kokin läsnäoloon, seuraan ja ah niin hyviin viineihin, kokonaisuus toimii hyvin. Mikon rauhallisuus keittiössä ja tekemisen aikatauluttaminen on ihailtavaa katseltavaa. Täällä oli tarjolla harvinaisia viinejä ja aivan ehdottomasti paras kokemus, miten viini täydentää ruokaa. Satuimme olemaan ajan hermolla, sillä ravintola oli valittu reilu viikko takaperin vuoden ravintolaksi.

Mikko Utter oli tosi jees paikka. Siellähän on vain 8 paikkaa, ei musaa eikä muutakaan mekkalaa. Mikko puhuu vähän ja vain asiaa. Hommat hoituvat järjestelmällisesti, siististi ja ilman kiireen tuntua. Hän todella tuntee kaikki raaka-aineet, käyttää oman puutarhansa ja lähitilojen luomutuotteita. Lisäksi hän harrastaa eurooppalaisia viinejä, joita hän tuo itse maahan keräilymatkoiltaan ja tarjoaa niitä ruokien kanssa omakustannushintaan. Kahdeksan ruokalajia onnistui kukin yllättämään mut positiivisesti ja se on vaikeaa. Ei voi kuin suositella!

Ainutlaatuinen kokemus vailla vertaa. Vastaavia konsepteja ei oikein muualla juuri ole tullut vastaan. Annoksissa korostui vuodenajan raaka-aineet ja kaiken hyödyntäminen, jolloin hävikkiä tulee mahdollisimman vähän. Yksikään annos ei sellaisenaan yltäisi top 3 maistamiini annoksiin, mutta yhdistettynä tunnelmaan, paikkaan, kokin läsnäoloon, seuraan ja ah niin hyviin viineihin, kokonaisuus toimii hyvin. Mikko Utter oli tosi jees paikka. Siellähän on vain 8 paikkaa, ei musaa eikä muutakaan mekkalaa. Mikko puhuu vähän ja vain asiaa. Hommat hoituvat järjestelmällisesti, siististi ja ilman kiireen tuntua. Hän todella tuntee kaikki raaka-aineet, käyttää oman puutarhansa ja lähitilojen luomutuotteita. Lisäksi hän harrastaa eurooppalaisia viinejä, joita hän tuo itse maahan keräilymatkoiltaan ja tarjoaa niitä ruokien kanssa omakustannushintaan. Very good gourmet restaurant in Lohja. Excellent menu based on local ingredients, awesome wines to go with the food, Mikko really cares about the right combinations with the food. Menu changes with the seasons. There's only 8 places and you're seated in a row, so we prefer to book a whole seating with friends. If you go as a couple or smaller group you will be seated with strangers, in Finland this can be a bit silent, if you're not...

Hieman erilaista fine diningia! Ruoka sinänsä yksinkertaista paikallisista raaka-aineista. Ja mitä tarkoitan "erilaisella hienostoruualla"? Ei pinaatin lehdet öljyssä paistettuna ole sitä fine diningia mutta kumma kyllä, nekin saatiin todella hyvän makuisiksi. Huolella mietittyä ja makuparit ajateltua ruokaa, jossa on vielä tarina yleensä höysteenä. Erityiskehu viinivalikoimalle! Uskaltaisin väittää, että kyseessä on Suomen paras ravintola viinien suhteen! Viinit myydään ilman katetta ja se kyllä näkyy. Aivan loistavia ja laadukkaita viinejä tolkulliseen hintaan. Vielä kun lisää sen, että viinit ovat "käsin valittuja" pientuottajilta, niin nautinto on täydellinen. Pieni ravintola tuo myös hyvän kokemuksen. Tulee tunne siitä, että asiakasta todellakin palvellaan. Voin erittäin lämpimästi suositella Utteria...
