I absolutely do not recommend this cafe/grill for anyone (maybe for someone who wants even worse food you’d get from Mickey D’s or who doesn’t care or understand what’s delicious food). I don’t understand the hype. The only positive side is that the restaurant is located in a quiet tranquil place near nature but I honestly would do several changes. First, immediately in the glass door there is a sign to keep 2 m distance and when I went to the toilet there is no toilet seat cover. That is a basic hygiene thing: if you do not put down the cover when you pull the toilet all the bacteria will spread as aerosols into your system through your nostrils and mouth. Ew. But the food is really where the restaurant hits rock bottom. I honestly haven’t ate so bad food for a long time. Last time was in Rome many years ago where I got a badly heated portion with overcooked pasta and it was like straight from a ready made dish warmed in a micro. And Paseo have way too high prices for food and ingredients they do not even make by themselves. I ordered a vege burger. It cost me 23 euros. 23 euros!! When I reveived my order, the dish was lukewarm and it seemed as if it had been warmed in a microwave. You get a better burger from McDonald’s tbh.
As a professional chef, I absolutely demand the food to be well heated and you honestly do not even need to be a professional in order to understand that. This is the first time something like this happens to me. I took the dish back and asked them to reheat it. Some of the staff made a ”facepalm” and laughed. They made a new one but it was exactly the same. It certainly wasn’t worth 23.90 euros. They promised me a free ice cream and coffee but they apparently forgot it because I never saw it. The staff also seemed very passive. The water cans where half empty etc. These are small things but things some customers notice and care about, and again very basic customer service matters. Not good image either. Also, their fish cost 33 euros. Outrageous! That is a price you pay in a fine restaurant. Tbh, I wouldn’t even want to eat their steak or fish dishes ‘cause I feel they don’t know basic hygiene and right temperatures which different ingredients need to be heated. It’s a health risk, too. The visit in Paseo was a huge disappointment. I also don’t see a point of keeping a restaurant if you don’t make anything in present and order food from elsewhere and don’t even make the French fries yourself which is like the quickest and easiest things to prepare. Waste of money. They didn’t even know where their cakes come from. Seriously! And their cheese cake looked like plastic cake, certainly not fresh. The whole thing felt like Espresso House with a view and shocking prices. Their Coleslaw salad was prolly from a convenience food pack as well. If it was possible, I wouldn’t even give a one star of the food ‘cause it...
Read moreBeautiful place with awesome surroundings close to the sea. BUT the service was terrible. You didn't feel welcome in the first place and they wanted you out of there as soon as possible. One of the guys in our party of five got his food before everybody else and had eaten it when the rest of the group got their foods. You could notice that the staff was really stressed and they were constantly dropping things in the kitchen which created a super unpleasant noice in the dining room. The food was quite decent. Hope that the staff gets more training so that people want to keep coming to this nice restaurant and it keeps running...
Read moreIn the midst of island forest, the lovely Paseo resides quietly but with a great summer presence! Food is good, location is totally unique, people are nice and the patio sunny with lovely service.
Burger is traditional, with focus on the patty. Fries are hand-made. If you like burgers, you will like this one. With buns quite puffy, and patty really thick, you need to have a good bite to handle this bad boy. Taste is really good, mouthfeel amazing minus the big bite that is necessary.
A must-go for a tourist. Even for locals, the place draws very good crowds. Recommended, with a walk around the...
