Vuoksen Fishing Park — Restaurant in Imatra sub-region

This little camp ground is on a small island on the river. Our campsite was a grass site on the rivers edge. There is only 1 male & female toilet & 1 shower. But, they were all very clean. The hot water in the shower was abundant, & no restriction on the time spent in the shower. The camp kitchen had a microwave, sink, dishwashing liquid, & spare plates to borrow. The staff did not speak much English, but managed to book us in. The manager even lit an open fire, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it, as there were campers cooking on it (which is fair enough). ||Beware, there were lots of mosquitoes. Otherwise a really beautiful spot to relax. ||It caters to fishermen. There is a small boat to take you for a cruise on the lake. There is a small bar & restaurant. Amazing place. Excellent service. Two new cabins. Outstanding camping area. Fantastic food: perfectly smoked fresh salmon, salmon soup, and the best hamburgers in Finland. We stayed in Imatra camping Vuoksi Fishing Park in late August during the trip to Finland on bicycles. It is a small island on the river Vuoksa. In Vuoksi Fishing Park there is a wonderful fish restaurant. The whole complex is located near the center of the city. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby.
