The waitress was very kind and service was timely. No English menus but she did speak English and understood us well. We used Google Translate photo for the menu (my first time to use this feature) and it worked great. We had burgers, fries, steak, and I had the pound cake dessert. It was yummy and we will probably go back this week on our vacation since restaurants are sparse here. It was 85 pounds for three of us or around $100 American. We also had mozzarella sticks to start. In the USA we have marinara sauce but here the sauces were all mayo based.

Very friendly hostess and good food! :) We visited Kuusamo during a work trip and looked for some place to eat dinner. Third evening we found Wanha Mestari and did not disappoint. The food looked good and tasted fantastic and the price was also really reasonable for this area. We ordered all different dishes and each dish was seasoned perfectly and meats were juicy.

From the outside: it's just another pub. From the inside: a cozy and friendly place where the people are kind and welcoming and the food is excellent!! Traditional receipes prepared at the best. One of the best pub we ever eaten at, worldwide!! A must!!

Cute little town for a walk and gladly we've found that pub/restaurant. Nice setup and cosy atmosphere. The service was very friendly, luckily they were speaking english and also had english menu cards 😉. We also had delicious garlicbread (recommend that) and in general the food was good and fair priced.
