Differential pricing by an unfriendly lady called Karen when visiting alone versus with a known group. For this reason, when reminded and speaking of your café, checked Google reviews and sadly wasn’t surprised to see here another person a few years back similarly wondering whether racial prejudice involved in his treatment (different circumstances, same unsettling feeling).

If going here as a group, it is probably worth checking in with those in your group who might be targeted to check all okay! And if you hear of any such behaviour, or see, or receive such treatment, remember to call it out please and perhaps reconsider your chosen meet up venue!

And Karen (unfortunate name in the circumstances, and with empathy for all decent minded Karens who keep having their name associated with such low behaviour, for not all called Karen are “Karens”) please take this as a sign to do better!
