Buffalo Grill Salon De Provence — Restaurant in Aix-en-Provence

My wife and I went for dinner around 17:30, and when we walked in, there was nobody to greet us and the restaurant was empty. After about 20 mins of waiting for a server in the booth, my wife got up and went looking for a member of staff, she found one in the back. We made a our order and the food came quickly. Sadly, it was very disappointing. Her salad and rice was tired and old and my food was not even warm.

I kept my order, but returned the salad untouched and it was at this time the manager came out and we explained to her the issues. She acknowledged our complaint but walked away without any intention of service recovery.

We expected our bill to have reflected our disappointment, but it did not. We addressed the issue with the cashier and she removed it only after I had requested to see the bill and prior to paying. We felt this was a sneaky trick.

When my wife and I were returning to the Hotel, we saw about 5 of the staff members hanging out in the back of the restaurant, smoking and chatting, and the manager was texting on her cellphone oblivious to her surroundings and who was watching.

It was clear to my wife and I that we just wasted time and money, for this place was a disappointment, so I highly recommend to avoid...

Went in for a quick lunch. Serving staff at the front didn’t acknowledge me, there was about 4 of them and acted like I was not there.

Someone came and took me eventually to a table.

Was easy to order as an overseas visitor. The server who helped me was good by giving me a QR code to scan and order.

Food came in good time. Was served a salad and bread rolls with chilled water before mains. Nice touch.

I ordered the cheese burger and fries with fries. Burger was good. Fries were good but portion size a little small.

Buffalo grill restaurants are not made equals. While my last experience in another place from the franchise was quite good, I can't recommend the food in this one. It's not bad, it's eatable but it's not good as well. Meal was badly unfrozen and portions so small that you regret to pay the price of a restaurant with a real cuisine and a real cook... On the other hand, Staff was lovely and it's really too bad the food was not on par. This so so experience will not drive me back there soon. But hopefully, there might other restaurants from the same franchise with a better management...
