A hidden gem close to the pittoresque village of Ventabren but still doable on the bicycle from Aix. On the way up we took the D10 , then turned right on the D64a, climbed the hill into the old village and then headed for Roquefavour (famous for its aqueduct), and then after couple of hundred meter turn right direction the sport fields of Ventabren. On the way back we passed through Roquefavour, then the D65 and via the airport and Les Milles back to Aix. Restaurant is cozy and offers both indoor and outdoor terrace seating, with a few tables enjoying the winter sun. Welcome was friendly and we were seated immediately (recommended to make a reservation!). From the menu on the black board we selected the three course set menu with dishes like veal tartar, trio of shrimps as starters and fillet of sea bass & porc chop as main courses, followed by a cheese platter and an avocado mixed fruits dish. Service was friendly and efficient and food served was very tasteful and served at the right time and temperature. Definitely a venue where we will return and highly recommended to those after a genuine bistro experience in a...

Stéphane and Karen survived the lock-down with flying colors by running a take-away for their excellent dishes. They recently re-opened the resto and terrace again and have returned back to normal. And again bookings for the weekend need to be done well in advance! They're as always fully booked. Went there and enjoyed the outside terrace, always friendly crew, a great rosé (Amountanage 2019 - Lubéron), the tartare Eouvé and tarte citron....
