L'onda Arone — Restaurant in Ajaccio

Terrible experience, sadly. Everything was fine, more or less, until I said that the fresh fish which I ordered was tasteless. Then a man, who turned out to be the father of the current owner, came over to explain that it was obviously my fault and not theirs as they always make their fish like that. It was the classic "no one else has complained so it's your problem". I suggested to him that blaming me for some sort of poor judgement, having told him that everything else was good, and that this fish was their suggestion, was probably a bit harsh and maybe it was more likely that something had gone wrong with that particular dish, he told me that it was my problem. I said to forget about it and being me the bill. Then, another person arrived and asked me to explain what wash wrong. I told him that I has already explained the problem 3 times and that it was getting a bit tedious. He told me the last person was his father but he was the MD. So I explained again but he basically repeated to me the same thing as his father. "Maybe it was a problem with the chef but you have to pay 100% of the bill", we were planning to come here for dinner every 5 nights of our stay but after this we will certainly never...

Even higher prices as the very excellent restaurant Casabianca nearby but bad quality of food. So they copied all the prices without having a clue how to cook, especially first class. The ordered goat was fat only, chips burned, fish something. The cocktails are really bad with some chemical tasting ingredients (they obviously never even googled how to make a Mojito). Even if the whole place is empty they put you for dinner on third row instead of front row, reserving the front row for imaginary groups who will not appear at 9pm. In contrast to this bad experience the Casabianca is offering real top cuisine and top service with an incredible view, and this for moderate prices in...

Le lieux est beau et convivial. Le personnel était très sympathique et super gentil. En revanche nous avons été plutôt déçu par la cuisine. Pour manger de la côte de bœuf nous avons dû commander une pièce entière de 740g. Nous étions deux, on s’est fait plaisir. A l’arrivé, nous avions mal à la tête à cause de la journée au soleil. on nous propose de l’eau plate, c’était sans savoir jusqu’à ce que l’addition arrive que l’eau était à 7€ ! Idem pour les sauces, en commandant notre viande, normal la serveuse nous demande avec quelle sauce nous souhaitons l’accompagner. Nous faisons notre choix, et au prix de la viande on ne s’imagine pas qu’il faille payer la sauce. Bien sûr la serveuse ne nous en a pas fait part. Mon compagnon a donc prit la poivre et moi la sauce a l’ail. Elle n’étaient franchement pas très bonne, mon copain n’y a quasiment pas touché. La pièce de bœuf était de très bonne qualité, mais vraiment rien d’incroyable au niveau du t’évadai. Le morceau était saignant mais pas bien saisie. Je me suis un peu débattue avec mon morceau, fatiguée j’en ai laissé une partie car les nerfs m’empêchaient de bien couper mon morceau. Enfin, nous avons pris des frites en accompagnement. Visuellement elles étaient très belles mais gustativement pour un restaurant de ce calibre j’ai été très déçue. Elles étaient faites maison, mais j’avais 1 frite sur 4 pas assez cuite voir un peu dure. Pas de double cuisson et assez molles sauf les petites. Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas à la hauteur bien que le cadre soit très sympa. Il est écrit cuisine d’exception.

Au final on se retrouve avec 15€ de plus sur l’addition juste avec l’eau et les sauces, franchement ne même pas prévenir les clients c’est pas correct, même si le personnel était globalement très accueillant et gentil avec nous...
