We are here as a group of 13 and we were left very disappointed. After having great Apres drinks and lovely takeaway pizza we thought this would be a good option. We were seated quickly but waited around 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken, we then waited a further 30 mins or so before the starters were served, at which point they attempted to serve a kids main meal even though we had ordered a starter. The Garlic bread starter was disappointing and was essentially stale bread with a pot of garlic butter. The Camembert was good and the breaded Reblochon was excellent. We then waited again for the mains and this is when the problems really started, 4 people had steak and not 1 was cooked correctly, 1 well done was served cold and when it was sent back we are sure it was microwaved. 2 served medium were rare at best and blue and cold in the centre. 1 had a burger which was requested well done but was served more like rare. A couple of us did enjoy our main, the Gnocchi and I had the Woc Thai Gambas which was very tasty. We did complain but the supervisor did not seem interested and eventually removed 1 steak, kids meal and burger from the bill. It was still however with this removed the most expensive meal we had as a group. The restaurant was very busy both inside and outside, I feel like they were oversubscribed and just struggled to cope with a large table while being so busy.

Great spot for anyone looking for a challenge! Absolutely have to try the three cheese challenge in Tignes, starting off with the Camembert, then moving onto the raclette (not for the faint hearted) and then finishing it off with the mascarpone Mille Feuille. Super proud to have finished this challenge, and got the T-shirt to prove it. Very nice of them to reimburse the entire bill if you complete the challenge. I’ll certainly be looking forward to coming back to try again - and to see my face on the hall of fame (in the women’s toilet).

I decided to book after hearing about the restaurant’s famous “Défi des Trois Fromages” or “Three Cheese Challenge” whilst in Basel. It did not disappoint - after three stinky courses of camembert, raclette and mascarpone, I finished the challenge and, as a reward, received a tshirt and had my meal fully paid for by the applauding staff. After a quick bout of beefy buttblasting in the women’s toilets, I walked out of Coeur des Neiges with a big smile on my face - worth every penny (zero).

Wine was good, food and service were subpar, culminating in a very unpleasant experience when attempting to settle the bill.

Upon requesting the bill, the waiter promptly presented the card machine but failed to provide a bill, informing us that the total bill was 118€.

While paying using my debit card, I found the amount excessive and requested the waiter to check the bill. The waiter laughed and said that eating out is expensive. He verified the order on his electronic device, confirming the items we had ordered: two glasses of wine + a sandwich + a salad + a crepe + a coffee, and told us that the bill was accurate.

Another waiter who happened to pass by attempted to deflect criticism by asserting that their restaurant is the most affordable in the village, insinuating that we were being unreasonable.

Undeterred, we demanded to see the itemised bill and while we waited for it, the same waiter who had previously made the remark about their affordability gave us a 1€ coin and suggested that if we could not afford to pay bills of this amount, we should refrain from eating at restaurants. He told us that he never frequents restaurants himself during his skiing trips, and that eating out is for rich people.

The itemised bill eventually arrived, revealing an unexpected charge of 50€ for an unidentified item. Both waiters laughed at the situation instead of apologising. We were eventually able to obtain a refund of the 50€ in cash.

This experience was deeply disappointing, and it was evident that the waiters held a negative perception of dining at their establishment. They displayed a lack of respect and a sense of entitlement, which is unacceptable in any restaurant setting.

Unless you are one of their rich regulars or do not mind paying double for your bill, we strongly advise against eating at this restaurant due to the lack of professionalism, and disrespectful behaviour...

Where to start.... the whole evening at the Coeur des Neiges was a disaster. First off they did'nt have a table for us inside even though the booking was made months before arriving and confirmed on arrival, so they had to sit us outside... pretty cold indeed.

Then because we were outside we were completely overlooked from a service point of view having to go inside each time we needed to order some drinks etc, yet there were staff milling outside but they just seemed to ignore us.

Then we had some cold and over cooked food arrive which was questioned and then sent back.... you can start to see a pattern forming here... but we made the best of it was it was our last night in the resort.

So when it came to paying we said that we did not want to pay aa service charge and we all felt neglected and had a poor experience and as such wanted some token deduction off the bill like some money off or a bottle of wine off, bearing in mind there were 12 adults eating and drinking..... The answer was an outstanding "NO".... You eat and drink ....you pay.

At this point we complained to the manager and the owner came out and said if you don't pay I am going to call the police. We were astounded by this comment as we have never experienced anything like it.

We were always going to pay, but we wanted some recompense for the disastrous evening which ended in the police attending the management saying that if you don't want to pay don't come to France. Again we were shocked at how we were treated in a very threatening situation.

So in summary I would avoid this place as their attitude was shocking and from the outside you would never expect it.

I rarely write negative reviews but these people were off the scale, so avoid at all cost as there are much better places to...
