A lovely restaurant just about 200 m downhill from top of Roche de Mio. It's right on the piste but even if you could miss that, music is played rather loudly from outdoor speakers - although there are quiet terraces and indoor seating. Gorgeous views from the terrace! Indoor space is lovely and decorated in alpine style. Great vin chaud is served at a very good price considering the high altitude location. I do recommend their hot chocolate with rum - and a very generous glug of the latter it was so you'll need to watch not to cross your skis when back on the slopes! There are both covered and non-covered terraces with piste view as well as a small area at the back wih glass screens where views over the mountains can be enjoyed. One glass was badly cracked though and definitely should have been replaced or boarded. Food - there is a self- selection counter indoors; and a galette/crêpe cooking station in the outdoor covered area. You can order the galettes with your drinks at the bar and the order is sent to the cook outside - he already got started on our galettes by the time we came back out. Galette selection is great and our galette forestière was delicious however I'd ask to hold the oil (poured on top of lettuce leaves it's served with). They also serve Breton oysters at around...
Read moreGreat view and awesome French onion soup!
Have you ever felt cold and hungry after a few hours of intense skiing trying to keep up with the in-laws? Well if the answer is yes, you are in the right place. It is conveniently located just off the peak of Roche de Mio, at the top of the run “Inversens”.
This restaurant offers great selection of hot food and cozy atmosphere not to mention a great view of the mountains.
We like their French onion soup the best for its creamy melting cheese which makes you forget the elements outside. If you want to ease your pain from earlier falls, this place also offers good selection of beers, wines and cider (please calibrate your expectations as you are in the mountains).
Please be aware that this place can get quite crowded during lunch hour if you want to enjoy the nice fireplace inside. However there are plenty of outdoor seating for you, perfect for sipping away your hot wine while watching people skiing away and wondering why you haven’t discovered this...
Read moreNice crepes. Good Chocolat chaud. However the service from the lady with short blonde hair was awful. Incredibly rude despite me trying to order in French and embrace the culture. Snappy didn't want to give saucers or spoons like the rest of the customers had receieved. Slammed my change down and my receipt no manners please or thank you. Unacceptable having paid over 50 euros for hot chocolate crepes and a beer. AVOID and spend your hard earnt money somewhere else. Le Bonnet perhaps where there is always service with a smile and value for money too . We will not return which is a shame as we...
