Cold food with a hair in it, terrible service and rude staff. Somehow over half the menu items were unavailable.
Added later:
Some fresh items being unavailable -especially on a mountain- is of course logical, but we had a choice of about 3 menu items (the menu is already extremely limited compared to other restaurants in the region, so I’d still recommend a restaurant that does always stock its full menu either way)
Staff acts like we took our food and never spoke up, when in truth we went back downstairs many times for many reasons, and each time were treated like we were the ones who were rude and unreasonable. Our requests, questions and complaints were not resolved a single time. There is no service either, and self service here doesn’t just mean getting your food at the counter, it means doing half the washing up for them and cleaning your own table. The only service they provide is making the food, and when asked to do that they seemed annoyed.
Overall, a very negative atmosphere, full of signs with things you’re not allowed to do, big signs with “forbidden to:” and tons of rules posted everywhere. These people are just fundamentally unfriendly and respond to a negative review not with an apology, but by blaming us for not asking them to remake the horrible food...
Read moreWorst restaurant in the region. They don’t have half the food on the menu, the food was served cold, and despite spending 130 euros for food we had to pay extra for some ketchup!?!? Furthermore, they’re not accommodating for dietary restrictions, and the owner was rather unfriendly, talking to us as if we were children. The whole place is filled with what you are not allowed to do… we have almost never been treated this poorly while eating out. DON’T GO! Instead, go to Le Roc Des Blanchets, where they are extremely friendly, have better food, and will think along with you (E.g. if you’re a big group they will bring your food to the table even for self service, made a special vegan dish for one of our family...
Read moreOverwhelmed staff could not cope. The restaurant was full but we were offered a table in the buffet area for our group of 4 with restaurant service which we accepted. When the meals arrived one order had been forgotten and the other 3 had spent some time in the main restaurant before being served at our table and by now quite cool, not helped by the fact that the door to the terrace was almost constantly open. After some time it was obvious that the fourth meal was not going to arrive and after pointing this out to the staff it arrived half an hour after the other 3 meals. If the food had all been served together and hot I would have...
