Kotokoto — Restaurant in Annecy

Funny taste curry, not Japanese, not Indian, not Indonesia, not sure where the region it belongs, if you are not big fan of cumin, maybe it not for you, as it is the only flavor we could taste, and the after taste is a bite bitter too. It comes with a piece of overcooked fried pork chops, tastes plain and dry.

Yakisoba is too salty and has no aroma. Wholesale Japanese teriyaki sauce poured directly on the noodles and mixed together before serving.

We don’t know what the fried tofu is made of. It tastes like eraser. We were very surprised. We have never had this kind of texture in whole Asia.

The only food we could possibly recommend is pad Thai.

I visited KotoKoto for lunch today & except for the lovely service the actual food was very underwhelming - describing it like this as I wish to be respectful. The dishes we ordered, particularly the chicken curry looked nothing like the photos on the website, to be fair it was explained to us that the chicken is now fried. Seriously though I’ve never ever eaten a Japanese chicken curry dish that’s been fried instead of slow cooked in the actual curry sauce? J’ai entendu parler de ce restau sous le pseudonyme du « petit frère du Yatta ramen » et je ne pouvais pas ne pas le tester. Commande d’un menu curry de poulet et dorayaki. Repas arrivé encore chaud, copieux et très savoureux, le poulet était croustillant, un délice. Seul petit bémol et c’est une question de goût, c’est mon humble avis je trouvais le riz un peu trop cuit. Concernant le dorayaki, c’est le première fois que j’en mangeais alors j’ai voulu tester l’original fourré à la pâte de haricots rouge sucrée. C’était un délice.
