I must distinguish this establishment as a restaurant, despite its captivating atmosphere. While I was enthralled by the ambiance, I regret to say that I won't be returning for a meal due to what I perceive as a mismatch between the price and food quality. However, when it comes to enjoying a drink, I'm all in!
As for our starters, we ventured into the fried smelt (friture d'éperlan) and cod accras (accras de morue). The cod accras were certainly enjoyable, but the fried smelt left much to be desired – they were excessively oily, cold, and regrettably lacked freshness.
Onto the main course, where I opted for the "Gravlax de Saumon" served with creamy goat cheese and a salad. The salad was a true delight. However, the goat cheese, surprisingly, proved to be quite bland, lacking any discernible taste. The salmon fared decently, falling into the 'okay' category. Additionally, I had the opportunity to sample the filet de perches, which regrettably failed to impress in the taste department. Notably, there was a fly in the bread that my brother received with his meal, which was an unfortunate and unappetizing surprise.

Read moreIt was a monday night, and every other semi decent restaurant around the lake was closed so we decided to head over here. Luckily we had a table right next to the lake with a gorgeous view! Sadly, the amazing view was overshadowed by the awful service. If you want to feel like a neglected child, you should definitely sit down here for some overall mediocre fish. At first we were served alright, but after the food was delivered to our table we had literally no contact with the servers for at least 1,5 hours. We were ignored the entire time - we tried multiple times to flag down someone to order another drink but when we felt like there was no more hope we stood up to leave, but even then, still no one batted an eye to us. We basically had to beg to pay the bill. It was awful. Great view though. Fish was okay. Service was...
Read moreWe found this place by complete accident while biking and exploring annecy and they blew our minds.
Service was on point often checking on us without being overbearing. Fun to talk to and carried a contagious smile.
Food was absolutely delicious. Trout was cooked perfectly and seasonning was just right. Fries were also crispy with the right amount of salt.
As far as prices, looked a little on the expensive side (could be me being used to canadiwn food prices) but given the quality of the food and drinks we got, this is worth every penny.
Lastly, you get to experience it all on the side of lake annecy, staring at blue waves on the foot of breathtaking mountains.
We will be...
