Restaurant pizzeria Le Sade — Restaurant in Apt

I wish I could write a better review.

We had made a reservation but the waiter did not seem to know this. To be fair, we didn’t have to wait and were seated straight away and eventually he came to confirm.

Service was not that friendly and the younger waiter who served us was very pleasant and tried hard but we got the wrong drink to start with and then the bread basket was bought to the table just as we were finishing our meal. He did seem confused a lot of the time with which table had ordered what!

The food was ok and we both unusually chose pizza. The base was a little too thick and my wife’s white pizza had a burnt base yet under the topping seemed undercooked.

The restaurant is in a good location and popular but probably as there are only three restaurants / cafes to choose from.

I am sorry to say that my recommendation is that if you are driving anyway it is worth going...

Good food -- ambiance lacking -- service problematic

The dishes were fine -- salad de chevre chaud exceptional -- but the loud, thumping house music was totally out of place for a relatively sophisticated restaurant. I can't understand who would think that night club music is appropriate for a sit-down restaurant at dinner. Also, the staff lied to us about seating. When we arrived there were empty four tops on the terrasse where we preferred to sit (there was less thumping outdoors) but the server said all were reserved. After we had settled in the disco, the staff began breaking up four tops into deuces for male-female couples. I don't know why they discriminated against us -- two males -- but it left a bad taste in my mouth. We...

We decided to sit there for lunch on a whim, just because I liked the menu of the day they offered. It turned out to be an excellent choice. We got a hearty portion of really good beef goulash; the meat was soft, tender and the sauce really well seasoned - one of the best goulash dishes I’ve eaten at a restaurant. Included in the set was a desert of choice for which we got a hot chocolate cake served with ice cream and whipped cream.

Apart from that we enjoyed an amazing view from the terrace on Bonnieux, the neighboring village on a hill.

Our waitress was also very nice. Overall honestly one of the best food experience during this...
