I have been in Pyreenes for many days, everything went well until I spent a night in this hotel. I checked in at 10:45 PM, when I got into the room the floor was not straight there was a slope so when you lay down on the bed you will roll automatically because of it. Also, if you're looking for comfort, the mattress is very uncomfortable as well as the pillows; in addition, there are no covers. So it is your worst option if you want to relax after hiking or bicycling. This is not the worst part, there is more 😊. When I checked in she refused to charge the amount needed (96 Euros), but asked for a picture for my visa card. When I woke up, I called them at 10:42 AM, but they did not answer, then I called again at 11:04 AM asking for a bottle of water, but they refused to bring it. I took my shower and went down to do the check out at 11:49 AM, she wanted to charge 150 Euros, because of the late check out (even though she did not tell me what time is the check out + did not say anything when I called them at 11:04), we just got knock on the door from the house keeper saying she wanted to clean, but we told her we are about to leave at 11:37. I refused to pay the 150 Euros, but surprisingly the reception woman started yelling at me in a very disrespectful way, and was trying to push me to do the payment she wanted, when I refused again, she told me I will call the police if you don't. I told her go ahead and please call them, but she didn't " from here I knew there was a scam " the man showed up and was siding with her to push me to do the payment 150 Euros not 96 Euros, after a long conversation they reduced the amount of money they were asking for until we agreed on something. When I paid she said "you're horrible and you are not welcomed here" I visited more than 40 countries this is the first time someone says do not come again. To sum it up, if I am visiting pyreenes again, I will skip this village for sure and this hotel as well. I am here to relax my mind in this beautiful area, but this hotel will make you angry...
Read moreHaving only one star rating, my expectations were low, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. The rooms whilst small, were comfortable, clean, cosy and warm and I had everything I needed. On the plus side, the hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful and the restaurant served basic meals but was very good and simple, in the usual French way, and the prices were very reasonable. ||||On the down side ... the heating was super hot and even when I turned the radiators off (which were making slight noises through the night) I was still too hot. There was a street light directly outside my room and even though I closed the shutters, it was still too bright in there for me, personally (Room 4). Did not give out any extra sachets of shampoo after the initial two used, and I could have done with 6 more!!! The also didn't supply enough crockery in the room but were very generous with the tea, coffee and sugar, which is unusual. ||||The hotel was empty when I got there so after the first night they shut the restaurant to give the staff a day off and whilst this was no problem at all for me, it might be an issue for anyone who did not want to leave the place for breakfast or evening meal after a hard day's ski-ing. But as I said, it was no worries for me. I did have one very enjoyable meal of duck there for only 9 Euro which was great! ||||Aside from that, at 60 Euro per night (plus taxe de sejour!) for room only, I found it a tad pricey, but all the same, I still enjoyed my...
