Rooftop — Restaurant in Arles

Stopped by at this charming little restaurant during a whistle-stop tour of the Camargue having read some great reviews. I think we were lucky to get a table for lunch on a relatively quiet day out of high season. The loup de mer was perfect, simply but expertly cooked and served with puréed potatoes and roasted Mediterranean vegetables. Other tables were indulging in rather more exciting dishes, the lobster looked particularly appealing. The staff were very welcoming and very professional and it’s great to be able to see the team working in the kitchen. We will have to make another visit to Saintes-Marie’s-de-la-Mer soon so that we can go to this brilliant...

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The staff was ok.

The place has a nice view (by day I guess, since we went by night).

The food tho was just ok and sadly overpriced (probably paying the view more than the food). There was only one vegetarian option (risotto). We were a table of 5.

Beware: The menu omits mentioning the price of the “sole” fish. It is sold by weight and they don’t even mention that on the menu. There is no price at all and it’s ambiguous as it’s written right down the other fish. The staff did not mention to my brother in law that it had a different price or that it was sold by kg when he ordered. We ended up paying 66 €...

J'ai récemment eu l'opportunité de dîner au restaurant Rooftop et mon expérience a été tout simplement extraordinaire. Situé au sommet avec une vue imprenable sur la plage de Sainte-Marie de la Mer, le cadre était tout simplement enchanteur. L'atmosphère était animée et conviviale, avec une équipe attentionnée qui a vraiment fait tout son possible pour rendre notre soirée mémorable.

Avant même de commander, le personnel nous a montré les viandes et les poissons disponibles. C'était une touche vraiment appréciable qui a ajouté une dimension interactive et engageante à notre expérience culinaire.

La qualité et la quantité des plats servis étaient tout simplement époustouflantes. Les portions généreuses nous ont laissé repartir avec le ventre plein, mais surtout avec le sourire aux lèvres. Chaque bouchée était un festival de saveurs, démontrant clairement l'expertise et la passion de l'équipe en cuisine.

En somme, le restaurant Rooftop offre bien plus qu'un simple repas, c'est une expérience gastronomique complète. La vue magnifique, l'ambiance chaleureuse, le service attentionné et les mets délicieux font de cet endroit un incontournable pour tous les amateurs de bonne cuisine et de moments mémorables.
