Le Diwali, Haute Gastronomie Indienne — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

This is one pathetic restaurant I have ever been in my life and unfortunately this is in Paris. Except for the ambience, I do not think this restaurant is worth the try all. The service, food quality, the quantity everything was the worst. The food was rotten and for sure it was prepared at least a day before, the quantity was as if it was being served to a beggar, for the money we paid (200 euros) we could have had food in 5 star restaurant. The waiter was very very rude, despite us requesting politely. I wish there was a negative rating option here, I would have given minus 5. This place sucks!

Oh please sir! With all due respect- your response is a mere excuse of how you treat your customers. You say were 10 people and it means you couldn’t handle all of us? And please were not sharing food- the quantity i was talking about is for one person and not 10 people- please don’t estimate us to be some kind of beggars. This happened only for the fact that we were not foreigners but Indians in a so called Indian restaurant. The least you could say is sorry and you have no clue of the extent of disrespect and damage that has been done as you were not even there in the scene when all this happened. Whoever your waiter was had the highest rudeness I have ever seen in any service industry. I wish this kind of experience never happens to anyone who visits this lovely city. Doesn't even deserve a star. Sloppy service, very less quantity, did not suffice even a single person. We, a group of 11 were there after reserving a table well in advance. Initially, we felt good looking at the ambience; however, after we placed an order, we had to wait for almost 30 mins for starters (of course the quantity was too less). After the starters, we waited waited waited for almost an hour then the plates arrived; we were hoping the food will follow; however, it didn't. All of us were loosing patients by then, after talking to the manager several times we finally got glimpses of our food. Again, to add to our disappointment, the food was so less that some of us had to eat cold rotis with pickle. Finally, after the disappointing dinner a bill of 300 E was slapped on our face. Where do you even start? The service here is exceptional! The staff are so friendly and courteous. And the food? Oh, the food is amazing! We called beforehand to ensure that there would be vegan options available. When we got there, the waiter was really kind and patient in going over the ingredients of dishes with me. Additionally, he even offered to have the chef make some items specifically vegan for me, which I really appreciated. I know it's typical for Indian cuisine to taste good, but these dishes were just packed with flavor and extremely delicious!
