Le Taj Mahal — Restaurant in Béziers

Hands down the best way Indian food I’ve ever had. We made a stop here at the last minute and I’m crying tears of joy. We started dinner with beautiful samosas that were crisp and had the perfect level of spice. The accompanying sauces are delicious and the waiter was excellent as he explained the spice and flavors of each give to us. We followed with cucumber Raita, naan, butter chicken, and chicken korma. everything was cooked beautiful with the most amazing flavors. Probably the best meal I’ve had while visiting France. Nice food but bad service.

The food was delicious but the service was rather poor and really let down the restaurant. It took a long time for the menus to be brought to the table with 2 other tables being served before us, even though they arrived after us. And when we asked for 2 sides as opposed to a main course the waiter was rather rude and pushy telling us ‘if you only get two sides and are still hungry, we won’t give you any more food because the kitchen is closing soon’; aggressively suggesting we instead choose a main course, which turned out to be the same quantity as the side. First of all: the food was delicious, the portion sizes were generous and the prizes were reasonable. However we ordered 5min after the restaurant opened and still waited two full hours for our food to arrive. They called us soon after we had ordered to announce that we’d have to wait an hour / 1.25h. After calling twice and waiting another hour the food finally arrived lukewarm.
