Excellent restaurant in the heart of Bedarieux. When we entered an open fire spread warmth and the smell of a fire place throughout the restaurant. We had the menu "La Forge" together with two wines. A foam surrounded by a mushroom cream was lightweight and full of flavour. It has been served with crutons and bacon on top, which enriched the creamy texture with some crispiness. However the bacon raised the salt level to the max. A bit less bacon would have been appreciated. The Casserole was well-balanced with a perfectly cooked fish. Highlight here have been the brussels sprouts, which added some sweetness and bitterness and rounded the dish up. The steak for the kids was medium rare, but still pretty dry. The pasta had just a bit of seasoning, but the kids liked it. The chocolate mousse was too playful. It has been enriched with several elements, but until the last third of the dish, it did not feel like a chocolate mousse at all. Strawberry elements dominated the experience. The mousse itself was lightweight, maybe a bit too light. After a foam and mushroom cream in the beginning, a rich mousse would have felt more complementary. The mango ice cream was fruity and intense. The caramel one was very salty, a little too much for a dessert. We also found a hair in the ice cream. Alongside the dish we ordered a Chateau Coujan. This red was too young to be served and should wait for another 3-4 years in the bottle. The staff has been super kind. They are a true gem for the whole experience. The table shaked a little, which disturbed after a while. Adding vegetarian options would be appreciated as well. The menu (without wine) was 20€ per person only, which is incredibly cheap for this high standard of service and food. Overall it feels like La Forge wants to be super ambitious. Wow What a Beautifull experience with so friendly and nice staff. We had the menu at 18 euros which is a very good treat for food at this quality level. 👏🏼 Everything was effecient and the food was perfect. Elegant simple tastes, looks, flavors and textures. Simplicity and perfection with pure character of good ingredients in perfect harmony in consumed in beautiful environment under big trees. 🌳 Perfect starters with cured ham with goats cheese and some kind of beetroot pure. Cucumber Goat cheese with salmon. Entrecôte beef for main course. The only small thing at the main course was the vegetable stick where the eggplant was a little too hard for my preference. A suggestion would be to grill it first to tenderize it but the seasoning was very nice with high quality Mediterranean herbs. Perfect dream dessert with chocolate mousse ice cream and fruit pure. Everything was so tasty. A very rare 5 stars restaurant but I cannot give any less than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Please do visit to enjoy a piece of pure taste...

Avis en demi-teinte. Gérant sérieux et professionnel, très souriant, permettant à des apprentis de l'école hôtelière de pratiquer la profession. Belle salle, feu de cheminée appréciable par ce temps, rare de nos jours sont les établissements qui chauffent. La salle est atypique ce qui lui donne un charme et en même temps il y a vite du brouhaha avec la réverbération des voix et les échos. Service dépassé par les réservations du jour, dû à la fête des grands-mères. La cuisine est bonne de manière générale. Les prix sont raisonnables. Les jeunes apprennent, il n'est pas évident d'émettre un avis à leur encontre mais il est nécessaire je pense. Prise de la commande en désordre, les menus nous ont été tendu on nous a proposé un apéritif, avons pris le temps de consulter la carte. Une mise en bouche est arrivée sans que l'on est commandé les boissons qui ont pris du temps à être commandées et à être servi. Serveur venu avec le verre vide sans le whisky. Tout ça a été rattrapé mais ne m'a pas laissé profiter sereinement du moment. J'avais réservé dans le cadre de mon anniversaire. J'ai été déçu qu'aucune attention ne soit faite avec le dessert. J'avais précisé de ne pas être proche de toute source de ressenti de froid, porte entrée et courant d'air, avons été placé à côté de la fenêtre, j'ai ressenti le froid heureusement qu'il y avait la cheminée en état de fonctionnement. Dernier point le plus délicat, désagréments olfactif de deux serveurs avec une très forte odeur de transpiration lors du service. On peut comprendre qu'en période de rush, c'est humain de transpirer mais de sentir ses odeurs lorsqu'on nous débarrasse et lorsqu'on se fait servir, il y a selon moi un oubli de désodorisant... Bilan, mon ami a apprécié, je n'ai pas pu l'apprécier autant que lui. J'avais fait ce choix en dépit des kilomètres à faire pour venir manger dans votre établissement, je suis ressorti déçu...

4 stars for the ambience and the service but not for the food. We did the 3 course menu and the fish was overcooked. The entree was terrine with raw seafood and average at best. Definitely not sure how they got rated a 4.6 on google. The kids menu was served with pasta where they didn't properly drain the water. My kids barely touched the food sadly. For the dessert, they put fromage blanc on the menu but instead gave us faisselle for the kids. It is absolutely not the same and the waiter should have mentioned that they didn't have fromage blanc so that we could've opted for ice cream instead.

4 stars for the ambience and the service but not for the food. We did the 3 course menu and the fish was overcooked. The entree was terrine with raw seafood and average at best.
