Sunset B — Restaurant in Basse-Terre

Super! Although we did not have a reservation, and the restaurant was mostly full, we were accommodated. The owners and wait staff were very friendly and spoke to us in English and French, as we worked our way through our high school french vocabulary. There are no menus. The specials of the day are written on a board at the back of the restaurant. There were two vegetarian options and three meat options. Our meals were all delicious. We tried both dessert options. An apple tart and a chocolate tiramisu that was one of the best I have ever had. Parking was on the street, which was a little challenging, but not enough of a deterrent. It was our first meal on Guadeloupe and we look forward to dining there again...

Nightly menu offers 4-5 dishes created by the chef based on fresh produce/protein availability (meat dish, fish dish, vegetarian dish, pasta dish, 2 dessert options) Friendly staff, nice setting, kids portions upon request We had the pasta carbonara that both kids enjoyed (unheard of), the fish and the vegetarian plates both served with 3small sides and a salad and beautifully plated.

Chocolate dome and banana almond crumble were so good we ordered two rounds !

This was our 4th time back to Sunset B and yet again, it did not disappoint! The menu changes almost every night which ensures it’s as fresh as possible. The staff is extremely accommodating and they even speak English. The owner is there every night and his passion is evident in the food and the environment. Sunset B is always the best dinner of our vacation and we look forward to coming back in...
