Bar Brasserie Le Bounty — Restaurant in Bastia

Stopped here for a mid-afternoon drink so cannot comment on the food, only the service personally received.

Attracted by the location - perfectly overlooking Toga Harbour. Asked for a pitcher of rosé wine as a drinks list wasn’t forthcoming - only to be told that they “would have to see if they could do that”? Anyway, my request was fulfilled. Albeit with no ice or other pleasantries!

What should have been a relaxing stop was ruined by the server’s little boy banging on his musical instruments next to me! Whilst I empathise with post-preschool child care for working Mum’s, this isn’t the right environment (from a paying customer’s perspective).

As the photographs show, the bar, restaurant and outdoor area look clean and well-appointed - so it should be good.

After my visit I was interested by other reviews. I too wasn’t presented with a bill or receipt - just a verbal transaction. And 5* reviews from people who have never contributed previously but call others “liars” are clearly dubious.
