There were 2 young-ish ladies on the Reception, the younger blond one was a tad irritated by my request for milk (1st day, I’m English. I drink buckets of tea with milk-did not realise this was not provided). There’s also a waitress who will not forgive you if you deign to touch the fresh orange juicing machine, haha! Aah. Forbidden! the looks are super very filthy. Funny. There was a language problem when I was directed to the nearest car wash for my hire car (I don’t speak French. The nearest petrol/wash place don’t speak English, so I asked the Receptionist for a bucket of water. I was told to use my water bottles- Honestly? You’re a 4 Star? ..I sweated my rump off going up and down to my room filling those. Wasn’t funny though.... (€50 extra charge at the hire place if it was returned dirty so had to clean it inside and out - And believe me, it gets dirty on those roads). Did I say roads? I meant sideways rollercoasters- absolutely everywhere. It took me 2 days to pull myself together after the drive from the hire place to the hotel (given a key and a grunt from the hire guy) and I promise I do not exaggerate. You will need many strong drinks following your first driving experience in Corsica. I will however, remember this holiday with a smile. The beach a 10 minute drive away was gorgeous. The hotel’s Corsican salad was good and I so enjoyed the continental breakfast (I did have cheese and ham coming out of my ears after a week) , one waiter (lovely black guy) was smiley and sweet (may have been cursing me to my face- Id have been indifferent) , It only takes 2.5 hours to fly there from London. (But you want to go a mile on the road quadruple normal and add 10) The air con works a treat. So. anyway, just remember to speak...

Read moreWe arrived early, I was traveling with an elderly lady who was very tired our room was ready so we were able to go straight to the room before the check-in time, the room was spotless and very comfortable.||The two receptionists were very helpful and friendly I asked for milk as there is none in the rooms and we were given a jug of fresh milk with no problems.||Breakfast was fantastic a big variety of lovely things to eat and the two waitresses were amazing and very friendly and really very helpful, I am not sure why one of the reviews said that anyone was irritated I did not find this to be so. The fresh orange juice||machine was operated by one of the waitresses but this was to be helpful rather than anything else and I did see other guests using the machine with no problems. Evening meals were very nice and again served with a smile and a chat even though my French is very poor. the waitresses worked from early morning to late at night very hard working and always managed to smile and be very friendly with us and we always managed to be understood by everyone at the Hotel. We sometimes tend to forget that we are traveling to different countries and language is often difficult a little patience is required. If I had one small critic it would be that perhaps there should be twin beds on the ground floor as there is no lift to the first floor and my friend who is 83 found the stairs a little hard to manage every day having said that the Hotel did not know this in advance and we should have explained to them when we booked. We found everyone very helpful and the little town very beautiful, the scenery is breathtaking and gorgeous, Drive carefully the roads are narrow and very twisting but worth the views. Many thanks to you all...
